Anastas had seen the princess motioning to her and heard her words of welcome. She walked towards the princess, but stopped, a sudden drowsiness filling her. Anastas fell to the ground, unable to reamain upright as the effects of the spell grew on her. Once the effects had worn off, the knight got to her feet. She blinked a few times and shook her head to fully rid of the sleepy feeling. Her eyes moved to the spot behind the column and they widened slightly as she noticed the princess had disappeared from that spot.
Anastas looked around the room, seeing that the princess was nowhere to be seen. Her eyes scanned the once more room, noticing a broken window, and a few signs of a fight. Only a few people were on their feet. Sorina, a few guards, a silver haired man, and herself. Anastas watched them, her face was full of concern. She crossed to the window and looked at the blackened sky. Where was the princess? She wondered what reason the guards would have for surrounding the silver haired man, but drew her thoughts away and back to the missing royal.
Anastas bent down and carefully picked up a hand sized piece of the broken glass. She studied it closely, looking at the edges. Was it possible that it was slightly melted? Anastas looked up and out of the window again. What would have caused the glass to melt? She pondered this question for a few moments, wracking her brain. She glanced back down at the glass. then realized one of the few things that could have done this. A hellhound.
Anastas set the glass back down, making sure it didn't shatter any more than it already had. She leaned over slightly and put her hands on the windowsill. The knight studied the land outside the castle grounds, searching for any sign of movement. She had trained herself early in life to catch anything. Even in the dead of night, she could see almost any form of movement. Whether it be the swaying of a tree branch, a bird's flight patch, or a person wandering around believing they have goine unnoticed by all. A human was the easiest to pick out, for it was the least graceful and did not blend well with the rest of the movement going on around them.
Anastas searched furiously for anything, perhaps Raphael, Alana's dragon. She shook her head, seeing nothing out of the ordinary. The princess had either vanished completely, or was still in the castle. But what reason would the princess have to be wandering around inside? The party had not ended, and surely the princess did not have a reason to leave, unless she had duties to attend to, but Anastas was sure she had none.
