Ack. I have a problem-o. All my teachers are lending me adult books -because I'm the only one mature enough to read them. I love the books, I swear. Much, much better than all that vampire/werewolf romance stuff that's clogging the shelves of teen fiction today. Buuut, my parents, being parents, want to 'protect' me from 'disturbing' books.
And so I hide them. But, this makes me feel guilty. D:

It's SO good! I loved it, and was so happy when the movie came through!

I have a similar problem. But if you tell your parents that your teachers are letting you read them for school, they'll be fine with it. Well, if they're anything like my parents. And, if you really want them to believe you, you can write up a list of pros and cons about each book after finishing it. I sometimes do that.
Technically speaking, it's not lying, either. You really are reading them so that the school can get them back. And, if you do pros and cons (or even write up reports about them) then if you have a book report to do on anything you want to read (I sometimes get those) then you can just submit your review that you've already written up on the books you borrowed. So, yeah. That might help you.

Or, as a second option, you may just want to tell your parents that all the teen books you've read just suck and you need something more mature to keep you entertained.

My parents don't read much so they don't know if the books I read are "adult"
But, yeah, I agree with the vampire/werewolf thing Why don't you tall your parents that you're mature enough to handle it? Just tell them you'd be able to handle it, and tell them that you don't like teen books (Like Twilight >.>).

My parents won't even let me read Harry Potter. I started them at least three years ago, and they still won't let me read them. Crazy, I know.
