The sound of sirens blaring in your ears sends you up out of your bed and into the air. This happens every month, at the same time, same day, but it still gets you. Getting dressed, you shuffle outside with your siblings and parents, hurrying over the the auditorium. Once ebveryone in the town is seated and silent, a tall woman with papery skin and a rather skeletal look to her walks up onto the stage.
Time for the Sibling Split-Ups.
And, of course, your family's last name is called. You and your sibling are ushered up onto the stage, and quickly talked to. You're then pulled away from your life-long friend, and into a small group of people similar to you. Now, the game begins.

Pain. Sorrow. Terror. All that you can feel on this vile island is those emotions. Seperated from your sibling and placed on completely opposite sides from the island, in two different groups; one for the capable and one for the frail. As you fight your battle for survival from varying things; you also try to find their lost sibling.
To the people on the island, it's just a game.
