-Please let me know if there isn't any room left on the list! I can wait until there is! Name: His name was
Pete.
Picture/description: (I have a
lot of pictures to look at, so you can see him in almost all perspectives. He loved to bask in the sun. <3 The below picture -the first one- is my favorite of him. He looks so cute in that picture, like he did most of the time.)
::NOTE--He had a full-length tail! It was NOT docked!!::

Pete in my sunglasses!!,
Licking his chomps...,
Resting his cute face on my pillow,
Upside-down grinHistory: We took a routine visit to an animal shelter, and met him by chance. A 3-Year-Old
Rottweiler/
Pit Bull/Labrador mix. A worker there told us that he was due to be put to the sleep the
next day;
he was on the list. That's when we decided we were taking him. We brought him outside to play, and he was the SWEETEST and most polite dog! We immediately let them know that we would be adopting him, and so they arranged to have him neutered first thing the next day so we could take him home and leave town the same day.
He was cuddly, sweet, tolerant, laid-back, polite, and affectionate. The perfect family dog, and yet he was almost put to sleep because people are ignorant about the breeds in his make-up.
We had him for a very short, but very special, 3 years. Until he was about 6 1/2 years old.
On a very tragic day in November, he somehow got out of our fenced yard when he was outside to go to the bathroom. There was apparently a loose board we didn't know about. He somehow made it over to our neighbor's house. Our neighbor's granddaughter was outside playing, and apparently the man "feared for his daughter's life" because Pete was a Rottie and Pit, and he saw him in the distance. -even though Pete loved kids and was very,
very sweet around them. The thing is, he changed his story from "he was
outside my chicken coop, and my chickens were scared", to "fearing for my granddaughter's life".
Long story-short; he shot and killed my dog and buried him on his property, not telling us for 3 freaking days.
I hate that man, and I'll
never forget what he did.
Extra items: A rainbow striped collar, or a basic red collar. With or without a Bone-shaped metal name-tag. Wings and a halo could also be cute, but aren't necessary if you don't want to add them...
Which artist? Whoever is confident they can draw him well...? ...I mean, I'm in no rush to have the drawing done, so feel free to take your time!
I love you guys, you're really sweet for doing this for people. It's really sweet what all of you artists are doing. Peace&Love ya'll!
