They are quite energetic and don't seem to beg for food like the guppies. They don't seem as social to people. I don't know about fin nipping. I have them with my female and young male guppies and fin nipping is minimal if existant at all. They do a good job at eating fry, though. One of my males had his eye taken out by one the other zebras when they were alone in the planted 10-gallon, and one of my females is missing half her tail, though I don't know what cause that.

Just because they are hardy is not an excuse for putting him in a tropical tank when you have a pond.

Plus koi should only be kept in ponds unless they are babys.
Yay the medicine for my tanks is in. I can get it tomorrow. :3

I noticed on one of my Gold skirts that its spine isn't straight
you can kinda see it in the 2nd pic just before its tail the spine has a bump in it which makes its tail slant down slightly
cant really get a good pic

It doesn't seem to really bother it though it still gets around with the others and can keep up, it must have been like that when it was born

I love my zebra danios. It is best to get a group of at least 5. They do best that way. They like to swim in schools. They are fun to watch though. They seem to have a "race track" around the plants in my tank, lol.
Just a little thing to keep in mind about Tetras and Danios...
Tetras and danios are both shoaling species and you should always keep at least five of each species together, preferably more. One that is kept alone will be stressed and spend most if its time hiding. The stress can also weaken its immune system and make it more susceptible to illness. A large group of them are naturally also much more beautiful to watch in the aquarium and you will be able to see a much broader range of natural behaviors. When kept in a shoal, these fish are active creatures and they will spend most of their time in the middle of the aquarium.
As for being a good match with tetras, im not too sure. I have had tetras and bigger fish kind of pick on them. Danios are similar in size but they are a bit more aggressive towards smaller fish. I have noticed one of my tetras picking on a molly (and shes bigger than he is

)
I am collecting the 2017 Stocking Kittens and 2012 August Munchkin Kittens! Send trades please.
