I finally but my betta into my balloon molly tank.
My neighbour really wanted to get rid of her balloon molly fry and so I took two instead of one.
So there are three balloon molly fry and one adult one.
My betta's been really good (I think) he mainly flaws his gills at his reflection (which he can see when he looks at the filter) he's flared his gills a couple times at the balloon mollies but stopped. He seems to be getting along with the adult balloon molly, he hasn't reacted when the molly checked out his fins. He's chased the fry a couple times but he's too slow to actual get them and it looks like he's loosing interest in them.
The three fry have been cautious, staying at the bottom or by plants and staying together.
Does that sound like he'd be able to stay?

You really shouldn't be keeping a koi in your tank, unless it's small. And you really shouldn't be keeping a gourami, balloon mollies, glass catfish, cories, or plecos in a cold water tank. You'd need a huge tank to facilitate one koi, let alone 2 plecos.

Got a divider today and sectioned off 1/3 of my 55 to be a growout for my fry when they are big enough to be moved from the spawn tank. Also got some new plants for my planted 10-gallon. My high quality HMPK male and females will arrive tomorrow so I set up the QT tanks today. Lots of work but such fun! I'm super excited!

unless they are bristlenose pleco they grow to about 4-5inchs
my goldfish used to smash my plants so I would say he was the main culprit

Its a tropical tank not a coldwater, and the koi was only 4 inches and the tank was four feet, also you dont need a huge tank for plecos cause they dont grow in a day. Ive got a long finned bristlenose pleco and some other pleco

Then why are you keeping a coldwater fish in a tropical tank?
Does anybody have an experience with that aqua turf stuff at petco? I'm trying to get it to attach to some mopani.
