Artyom stopped and looked up at Velydia, "Humans invented language. They are not born with perfect song as you are. Before they had recorders--those are the magic word-stealers--they made written language and carved stones to preserve their knowledge. They had huge things dedicated to their knowledge, books, pyramids, and other stuff. Some humans did speak all the time, but their history isn't preserved as well."

Velydia looked utterly confused. Her face flushed and she grimaced, feeling horribly stupid for not knowing half of the words Artyom used. "Okay." She said softly, not wanting to ask him to repeat what he'd just said. She felt dumb every time she had to ask.

Artyom stopped and looked at Velydia, realizing his rant made her feel like in idiot. He sighed and said a much simpler version of that, "Humans are stupid. And...I was being stupid. Hug?"

Velydia laughed lightly and accepted her hug, resting her head on Artyom's chest happily. "Humans are stupid. You are not stupid. You are good." She murmured, looking up at Artyom with a sweet smile.

Artyom smiled and hugged Velydia softly, ignoring the thudding heart in his chest and the heat on his cheeks, "Thanks. You are good too." He replied.

Velydia wondered if he would ever teach her another adjective synonymous with good, but brushed the thought aside. She smirked at the sound of his thudding heart and giggled. "What you teach today?" She questioned, looking up at him with her wide and innocent eyes.

Artyom actually didn't want to teach Vel another positive adjective. Her "good" was really cute, "I don't know. What do you want to learn?"

"How do you say... ehm... that you... you..." Velydia's eyes narrowed as she searched for the correct words. "You.. eh, think that... you... think... other person's... eh, presence... is very... good... to you...?" She grimaced. "You... eh, like the person. But stronger than like, much...stronger. They are very very good with you."

Artyom started to blush again, cursing his habit of doing that with any fuzzy feeling, "if you find a person...attractive, you call it 'liking'. If it's more..." He said and tried to distract himself with an image of a dead puppy, "Than you love them."

"Attractive?" Velydia asked, "That means that when you look at them, they are good looking? And if more, you mean that you like how they are to you, it is love?" She clarified, just to be sure.
