Some quick terminology definitions before we get started; this is a very cyberpunk-inspired world, so technology is ridiculously advanced, and thus, requires explanation.

Computer: Robots designed with a human appearance, created to do everything from cooking to browsing the web and even automatically balancing checks. Often given animal-like ears and/or tails, just to sell better. Our modern computers are long gone in favor of these.
-Think Chobits-
Android: A modified Computer; designed for hacking and retrieving information. They often look like normal Computers to avoid suspicion. Android models have various unit types, and those types will be the main focus of this story.
DOT: Dawn of Time. A freelance cybernetic manufacturing corporation; otherwise know as "the Best Hackers in the Known Universe{s}". DOT creates units ranging from the mundane commercial Computers, to PDs, and even VR units; as seen below. DOT is to their rival business what the present day Mafia is to theirs.
PD{s}: Pocket Dragons. These are tiny android units designed to gather information discretely, and destroy a Computer's wiring. They are often no wider than your palm, and no taller than half of a pencil. Though some models may come larger.
VR: Virus unit. Named after the first, and most successful, android in existence; VRs are often a little larger than a ruler. They are designed with a "hit and run" intention- plug in, gather information, damage victim's memory and drive beyond repair, and retreat. They are built lean and fast for a speedy get away, with a processing compatibility that far surpasses most Androids. They are a hacker's greatest weapon; but none have ever been as successful as the original Virus.
VU: Vampire Unit; developed by an underground corporation that DOT has yet to find, VUs are ridiculously complicated and imposable to hack into. {lolMac} Called "Vampire Units" because of their unique data gathering system, VUs "Bite" into their chosen victim at one of it's connector points, usually found on the neck or wrist. Using an odd cord found inside of their tongue, they then gather every bit of information they can out of the victim, and leave the unit as a husk of blank data. VUs can come in any shape and size.

Virus [♂] & Augur [♂]

Virus, Model .oo1 of DOT's first line of Android units, wears his title proudly. He knows that he's a feared household name, and he knows that no matter how many of those VR units they make, they will never surpass his superior design.

So why, why did he have a feeling of artificial dread running through every wire of his being?

"You heard me the first time, Virus, and I know I don't need to repeat myself." The Creator chided him, nudging a slightly larger... something across the table to face him. Said something smiled in a smooth, suave, condescending way that made Virus want to punch it.

"A pleasure to meet you, Virus. I'm Augur." This "Augur" held out his hand, presumably for Virus to shake or possibly kiss, considering that superior air about him. He glared at it.

"I did hear you, Master," He growled up at the human, "But a little more explanation would be nice."

The man sighed dramatically, flopping onto his favorite swivel chair and propping his elbows onto the table. He watched the two Androids with great amusement as Virus glared determinedly at his new partner's face, as if he stared long enough the other unit would either melt or malfunction. It wasn't working well. "Alright, then." He said finally, noting how neither one moved away from their starring/glaring contest. "One of the PDs found him in an alleyway; his casting was broken and he was malfunctioning from water damage. Build with an over-active sympathy drive-" Here he scoffed, "- She brought him back to the labs. You where damaged pretty well, Augur, but we where able to save your modem from getting too soaked.

"However, whilst allowing your casting to dry, we noticed something. Your tongue had a wire in it, and your data was encrypted in some sort of new language. You're the first VU we've ever seen up close, you know." He added with a mischievous gleam in his eyes, enjoying how Virus did a double take at this new realization. The Android's eyes widened and he could practically hear the wires cackling with electricity in his head. His smirk widened; as did Augur's.

"Y-you... What?" Virus sutured, and mentally slapped himself for it. He was not intimidated. Not one bit.

The VU took a step forward, Virus took two back and almost fell off the desk. He glared. Augur laughed.

The human smiled and stood and, with a flourish wave of his hand, stepped out of the room.
"Enjoy your new partner, Virus. I think you'll work quite well togeather."

=w= Yay. Oh, and if you're wondering {Which you're probably not}, Virus is about twenty-four inches while Augur is around twenty-seven. :3 Height differences ftw. And don't worry, Augur won't "eat" Virus's information. He's far too fun to play with.
-YES, I shamelessly wrote a fictional vampire story. Sort of. Good vamp fiction is one of my many guilty pleasures. |D-

Please forgive any spelling errors, typos, misuse of words, and/or faulty phrasing. I'm probably getting sick; and why I decided to write this monster now, I'll never know.
... I also have no idea how a little PD would be able to drag Augur all the way back to the labs. Maybe it got some help, or something.
