Akuma walked along the board walk, yawning. He was slightly tired, but it didn't matter much to him, he always was sleepy. But then he looked around, more intently at the other people, and steady streams of thoughts came to him. The closer to the people he was, the louder their thoughts were. But he shut them out, he didn't really like knowing other peoples thoughts and intentions, he used to think, before he had this power, that it would be cool, but now he knows it's bad. After all, if your not safe in your own mind where are you safe at?
Kara was on the beach, relaxing happily. She loved the warm sun and sand, but she as of late, she was just thinking of her power, she would of course never use it in public. A girl shifting into what a fish or dog, would definitely be noticed, and that’s that last thing she needed. But she looked up at the sky.
Storm sat on a bench at a park by the beach, he watched a spider scurry by, and instantly focused his power on it. He saw the spider wither in pain, it's legs curling up underneath it. This was nothing for Storm, but even so, he released his grip on the insect. He watched it scuttle away. He thought of the first time he used his power to his knowledge and shivered slightly, pushing the memories out of his mind. Then he looked up, and around the park again.
