I wasn't planning on it though. So we were looking at koi pumps and well, they had about ten female bettas. They NEVER have females, and I couldn't pass by the chance. So I was going to only get one because my mom didn't really want to get one, but I begged her into letting me get two since I couldn't pick between them. One is white with red and purple fins and one is green and blue, just like Cosmo. The red is named Stardust, and the blue Spark. I know there suppose to be in groups but I cant get more for awhile. There living with Ash now, but there kinda fighting so I might have to separate them. That making the count of bettas five <3 I want them to be in a sorority but right now with no empty ten gallon I'll have to wait.
Isn't Ash a male?
Yes, some people can successfully keep male and female together if the males are calm, but I removed him, and now I'm moving Peach, so the females get the tank to thereselves

Also guys, should I get one or two more females?

Poor shrimp.
@passion I would get 2 more if you have the room.
Well Dottie has a few missing scales and I have noticed my Shiro has been rubbing against rocks. All the water parameters are ok so I think they might have a parasite. Which would make sense since I didn't treat them when I got them. So im going to start salting tomorrow and the next few weeks on the big tank and my QT tank. Then once my prazi medicine comes in ill put Kimi (my new baby) in the big tank, lower the salt and treat them all at once.

I think I have the room in a five gallon, because there only about an inch/inch and a half.
Good luck with your fish, hope there alright!
:) Thanks.
Personally I wouldn't do a sorority in a 5 gallon. Mainly because they need space to hide from each other if something does happen. Even though you have the right amount a fight can break out and with a bigger tank they have space to hide and just get away from each other. But that's just my opinion.

I do understand what you mean... Would it be better if I put a little fish house and moss in the tank? That's all I can do for them right now

The more hiding places the better.

My Fiddler Crab UpdateSo walmart wont do a refund on it
I am stuck with two little guys
Right now they are slowly dying

I am going to see if my bro wants to take on the task of raising them
I have a filter, tank, ect...all he would have to get is a heater
The male Fiddler crab hasnt did much today
The female was out of the fish tank this morning

She was just sitting on the tank lid (Thankfully)
I hate seeing my little pets suffer like this...
I am collecting the 2017 Stocking Kittens and 2012 August Munchkin Kittens! Send trades please.
