The year was unknown, but what was known, was the hatred. The overwhelming start off point to which would end as it begun; in war.

It was true, that neither family had been overly generous to the other, but in the beginning it was the family by the name of Nightingale who proclaimed the nemesis of the other. A family that would go by the name of Wolfe. The feud lingered for a long time, in the public’s eye. People outside the families knew that there was a fight going on, and they knew best to stay away from it, as all possible. Though, as the years went by the fights went more so and more so underground. Unseen by the people, and soon people knew not of the quarrel that went on between the families. Not noticing anything really different.

It is now the present day, you wake up, an average day in your life, and are asked/demanded to get the mail. While doing so you come across a letter, quite formal in reading, and it has your name on it. Curiosity gets a hold of you and you open it, when you do so, you begin to read the fine hand written print.

Dear _____,

We have been told to inform you that you are of a distinct line. That of one of greatness. You belong to a line of people who originate from the family of Nightingale/Wolfe [whichever you chose to originate your character.] We are pleased to inform you that you have been formally invited to stay at our estate. Confused? As you must, but your identity must remain secret. There are people who wish to hurt you. A war that is happening under most’s eyes. But you can not avoid this war, as you are included within it.

We do hope that you consider, if not accept our offer. As we are determined to keep the safety of the next generation in top condition. Please do not tell anyone of your lineage, as they could be of that of the enemy line.

At the bottom of the letter you find a brief drawing of a raven or a wolf. You think about this for awhile, and wonder if this is for real. There is a small map included which shows how to get to this said estate. Deciding that this could be for real, you decide to give it a shot.

Unknown to the fact your life cannot be the same again.

Basically you have found out that you have some kind of connection to a family that is in some kind of war. You get a letter, telling you to visit an estate of one of the families. After going there, you find that you aren't the only one who has received this letter, and find out furthermore that the houses are reaching a peak in their quarrel wanting to end it once and for all. You also find out that now you must remain unknown to the public, and must stay in hiding, until the war is settled.

The Nightingale's were said to be the more aggressive out of the two houses. They have tricky minds, and have much wit about them. They don't like solving problems and winning without doing so by a landslide, and like to crush their opponents. Though they have a dark nature about them, they are brave in defending those they care about, and will sometimes even put their life on the line to do so. However don't be fooled by them, they can put on a good charade, and back-stab you afterwards. Some have said it's best not to get too close to them without having connections to their family line, as it could have horrible affects on you. They do their symbol; the raven with pride, as they are mysterious and witty like a raven. Able to charm people out of everything that they know...

The Wolfe's are said to be the more peaceful of the two houses. Wanting to end this war before it gets too serious. Determined, and loyal, they will do anything to serve and protect the people and their house name. They are sometimes stubborn and strong-willed in their nature, and aren't afraid to bend rules when needed. Of course, they like the wolf, their symbol, do enjoy for the most part being with others, and aren't usually as cold and crude as the Nightingale's. They have some mercy when it comes to the war and the opposing family, but still want to be the dominant house when this is over with. They have a good heart for the most of it, and will do everything in their power to make sure the war is stopped, and they come out on top.
