- Thanks. I've decided I'm going to make a female light elf character as well, though I'm probably not going to get an actual elf picture for her. *scurries off* -

[That is fine but be sure to check what positions are available. I believe their is only one spot left for the light elve's knights and if Mintochoco finish's her form then that is reserved for her. If not then you are welcome to that position as well as either a mage or queen since those are open as well.]

[Accepted and don't worry too much about the details. You have already proven you can write well for this RP. As for the Alicorn I must decline on the fact that it has a horn. I am not usually picky on these things and I love to see other's incorporate their own story but in the land of Eldemore there is only ever one Unicorn. If you read the story under the Glossary labeled Marif's Tales it is under the story "The Tale of the Unicorn" You will understand why and I thank you for your patience and interest in this RP.]

[You may now all begin the enchanting tale of Eldemore. ~Benathorn]

~.:Alana Pendragon:. ~ .:Windhelm Princess:. ~ .:Female:. ~ .:21:. ~ .:Human:. ~

Alana continued to fall as the cold crisp breeze from the Windhelm mountain peaks grew smaller overhead. She closed her eyes as a small grin brushed past her face while she plummeted to the ground far beneath her. The tranquil feeling she obtained from falling was one of pure simplicity, nothing seemed to be able to touch her in this state and she embraced the brief fall as the closest she would ever come to truly flying on her own. Her heart beat slowly in her chest growing ever louder as her silver hazel eyes fluttered open and the mist from the clouds rushed past her. In the distance among the fog a giant form seemed to be coming to greet her, it's large crimson wings beat in tune to her heart as a deep thunderous roar echoed across the skies. She was coming closer to the ground now, her heartbeat growing ever faster. This was the moment when two souls became one as she watched the large winged beast tuck in it's sails and dive down towards her in a terrifying but glorious feat. In a free fall that was like a kiss with death, her eyes met with two very imposing golden slits that reflected her falling form as they both fell as one. The crimson beast stretched out it's arms as it held her carefully against his chest, she smiled warmly as she listened to it's giant heart beat rhythmically with her own and the eternal bond was made with one of Windhelm's oldest traditions. For every knight, every royal, must take one of the regal Dragon's that graced their peaks and form a bound with them as they overcame their fears and formed an unbreakable soul while two hearts beat as one. She was now officially A knight of Windhelm Keep, Princess of the White Halls that her forefathers graced, and forever remembered as the 'White Maiden' to the rest of the realm of Eldemore.

Alana rode atop her dragon, Raphael, as she flew over her fair kingdom. The large city beneath her ,where her subjects dwell, stretched far below under the watchful protection of the seven towers that the dragon knights of Windhelm perched in a protective presence as the Snowy Mountains nearby made an impenetrable wall from their enemies. Only the dragon who made these peaks their home could fly in such high altitudes as the Keep stood strong against the ever bellowing winds that roared continually from the fringes of the mighty stone. She and her dear friend Raphael had patrolled the skies this afternoon before she was summoned to meet her father, the King, to address the meeting to be soon held at Stonehenge. A tradition as old as time itself, held by all four kingdoms once every year, as a show of peace. It has been long forgotten where the stones that held such Deep Magic came from but a tradition that was kept nevertheless. The only ones who truly still held the old tales were the elves of both Light and Dark, however they would never relinquish such things to mere mortals and have not been seen at Stonehenge since the great war of the lands when Four sons became four kingdoms.

Alana shook her head of such thoughts, now was not the time to review history as Raphael alighted on one of the seven towers that perched over the Keep "Ah, finally. My wings were beginning to grow lazy from no work for the past week." The large dragon spoke deeply as his voice reverberated into an echoed speech. A dragon knew many tongues and when one spoke it's very voice etched itself to the soul it was speaking to, for what dragon would speak directly? A dragon only talks to the soul and the soul would always respond in return to his answer "Do not fret Raphael, you should be thankful that war has not broke out in some time." Alana spoke deeply but with a lyrical grace of an aged ruler as her companion turned his bright amber gaze on her "Hmph, which usually means that a big one is coming. Mark my word princess, I would rather have a dozen small wars then one big one. It's the big ones that always catch you off guard." His body huffed and hummed as he spewed a few flickers of fire and black smoke seeped from his giant maw while Alana took in his words "True, but tonight is the meeting at Stonehenge and although we have had some tension with Pavalon they are brave and true just as we are." Raphael did not seem convinced as he gave another puff of smoke before laying down gently on the marbled stone of the tower "So be it, but the immortals have not shown their faces in some time. Which means they are cowards still or they are hiding from something far worse. Elves may be snooty things but they know their stuff and there has been no sight of them or any other enchanted creature for quite some time. It is simply troubling is all." Alana patted the large dragon's side as she walked briskly from the tower and down it's long spiraling staircase to the castle below.

The castle was not like most castle's of Eldemore. It was called a Keep for a reason as it's high stone walls and tactical building was made to withstand battle. It had seen many catastrophes in it's days and has stood longer then any mortal could remember. Alana let her hand slide along it's cool marbled white halls as she made her way to the Throne Corridor as the large room held hundreds of earls and nobles alike while her father sat tall and imposing before them. Like the great keep he was old but very strong as the man had lived for far longer then most kings. She made her way past the doors that acted like barricades yet were now open as she passed. Armor glinting silver in the sunlight, she took her place near her father and gave him a respectful bow "You wanted to see me your majesty?" Her voice echoed as the room went quite. Blue and silver tapestry's of dragons with their riders hung overhead as everyone's eyes waited for the kings words.

‡ Sorina Voras ‡

Sorina opened the large window of her tower, rising at the very edge of the palace grounds directly above the chasm that surrounded the center of Windhelm, and stretched her limbs energetically. A burst of mountain air flew into the cluttered room, threatening to send her papers flying, but experience led Sorina to already put weights on everything that could possibly fly away. She smiled brightly and swung her legs over the window ledge, sitting on the sill with no caution whatsoever despite the long drop that would spell her fate if she fell. Sorina never minded, though. For the thrill of the risk and the feel of the wind, not to mention the view of her surroundings, the danger was worth it. Besides, Gaenor would come if she called him.

Ah, the wind felt good on her face. It blew her red hair in every direction it wanted, and she enjoyed watching her skirts billow out. Air was often underestimated, as an element as well as a magic. After all, it had no blade, no solid form with which to fear. Sorina believed that only those who flew in the sky could ever be aware of the perils of the wind. Yet, as with all the natural elements, it could be so gentle, so steadfast and even helpful. It was something to be enjoyed, to treasure. How amazing the wind could be…

“When you think, you wear a glazed expression on your face, as if you were lying in the comfort of a cloud.” Sorina smiled wider at the sound of Gaenor’s voice and tilted her head up to look at his fearsome figure coiled around the spire of the tower, his neck craned over the side.

“You’re very poetic, Gaenor. Not many would expect that from you.”

The black dragon snorted his disapproval. “Poetic? I am merely pointing out another one of your annoying qualities.” Sorina laughed in reply.

“How should I look then, when I am thinking? Contemplative?”

“Maybe you should stop thinking. It always spells trouble.”

Again, Sorina laughed and returned to looking out at the kingdom. “That’s not true.” A distant movement caught her, and as she focused on it, Sorina realized it was a red dragon, specifically the red dragon. She watched as Raphael flew towards the palace grounds, undoubtedly carrying the princess on his back.

“Oh yes,” Gaenor grunted, a burst of smoke flying out of his nostrils. “There is a meeting that should occur in the Throne Room.” Gaenor’s tail twisted in a show of distaste of political meetings, which is what he assumed it was. “Should you not be there?”

“Perhaps,” Sorina replied with the barest sign of a shrug. “But it is more likely a meeting only for those who hold actual titles of nobility.” Despite having a blood relation to a line of nobility, Sorina held no title other than “mage”, and she liked it that way. It kept things simple, and all that trivial business lords and ladies had to go through did not apply to her. She brushed her hair away as the wind blew it into her face again. “Besides, if it turns out to be actually important, I’ll find out about it eventually.”

'Tis the season! Here, a lovely song in commemoration of the holidays:
Oh Come, Emmanuel
A wonderful interpretation by a couple of guys who just enjoy playing music.

- Howl Nephetys -

A mysterious figure, a shadow, could be seen coming from far away to the city gates. A song could be listened, a beautiful music, the strings of the harp echoed along the way, producing a relaxing sensation, not in clear ways, until reaching the entrance. It was Howl, wandering from city to city, spreading his songs, just like always. "Finally we arrived at Windhelm.", Howl said to Harvy, his bird companion.

"Stop Sir." The guards stopped our musician. "Who are you, and why do you want to pass?", with no doubts he said "I'm Howl, Howl Nephetys, a musician spreading thou songs around the world, just going wherever the wind takes me, and look... I reached the windy Windhelm.", the guards looked at each other, "Okay Sir, you may pass.", he entered the city, amuzed by how gorgeous the kingdom was. "It's been a long time since we were in a big place like this... I'm so tired...", Howl said rubbing his eyes, trying to stay awake. "Let's find an Inn, I need to rest, and you too... but first let's find a tavern, I gotta get something to drink my good fellow."

While walking around the city, at the main fountain, people were talking about something that he couldn't understand, trying to reach the middle of that was impossible. "Go...", the bird sitting on his shoulder, raised his wings and entered that ''ocean'' of people, returning after a few minutes. "Have you heard? Today is the big meeting! I saw Princess Alana's dragon Raphael flying around the castle, I'm sure something important will happen.", Harvy said, with the same voice as the woman, this is one of Harvy's abilities. "Princess Alana...? Hmm... Change of plans Harvy, we're going to that meeting.", he turned around and looked to the castle, and slowly started to walk.

Anastas stood next to her dragon, Ashkook, on a small ledge near the top of the snowy mountains of Windhelm. She looked around, watching, waiting for something, or rather anything to happen. She looked over at the kingdom below, studying the small specks of people bustling around the city. A small breeze blew her neat blond hair back as she watched. One hand rested on the small green dragon beside her, as she readied herself to mount when needed. As she watched, she saw the red streak of Raphael, the princess' dragon. Anastas turned and mounted, still looking around, her face was distorted with sheer determination. Anastas let out a long sigh as she saw nothing.

Ashkook turned her head to look at Anastas, hearing the sigh, "Now don't you go acting like this again. You have a job to be done, and rather it be boring than difficult."

Anastas smiled, "Thank you Ashkook. Seeing now as we have nothing to do, why don't we have some fun?" A small grin appeared slowly on the knight's face. Followed by a look of mock terror from her dragon. Anastas chuckled then motioned for Ashkook to take off, raising her eyebrows slightly as she did so. Ashkook leaped into the air and stretched her wings, gliding through the air. The wind attempted to push against them, but was no match for the two as they sailed with ease towards to kingdom. Anastas grinned as the wind blew through her hair. She enjoyed the familiar feeling, the feeling the always got while flying. For it was a sense of freedom that she felt as she sailed. A feeling that few humans ever felt.

She hated being grounded, and flying was the only way for her to break free of any boundaries. She looked down as she sailed over rooftops, studying to people below. Anastas looked forward again, looking at her dragons neck, which was, at the moment held high as she glided, enjoying the wind in her face, "Anastas, do not forget about the meeting. It is important and you must attend as you are a knight."

Anastas nodded, "I know Ashkook. I shall go when the time is right. When I am to go. That is not now, but it is soon." She said, her voice told the dragon that she had a hint of worry about the meeting, but had tried to shut it out.

Ashkook nodded, noticing Anastas' tone of voice, but decided to ignore it, knowing that her companion would only try to deny that she had done such a thing. Ashkook tucked her wings in and lowered her head, diving towards the small cottage that presented residence for the Udall family. As she approached the house, she spread her wings out again to slow herself down and flapped twice, then landed gently behind the house.
