lol I know many who did, I personally find them odd but that's just me.
I guess I'm in the boat of "I like the originals, and G4's". Any in-between just erk me lol. There is nothing wrong with any generation though, you really can't bash any of them. ^-^
G3 was targeted to little girls in that generation and it did splendid job of that! It's cute, girly, and all around clean happy go lucky little show and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I compare it to Veggie Tales...it's for little kids and it's cute clean fun. I, personally however, can't stand either of them but that's just me. XD

G4 although originally targeted at girls did tend to target an "older" generation of girls, and just happened to bring with it many parents/adults along the way with it's hidden adult humour. Something that many cartoons do now a days, it is new to the MLP scene though as they never did this till now.

I could do with out the butterfly ponys but I LOVE sea ponys!! But im not sure how they would fit them in friendship is magic. O.o

Very true! We couldn't have what we have now without all the older shows. And although, personality wise the characters in G4 are based off of G1, but two of them wouldn't have gotten their names or "colours" without the help of G3. (I'm talking Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie)
