I hate when people make book hate threads and other things. Like, for example, Twlilight hate threads. I mean, I don't like Twilight at all, but if you don't like it, stay away from it! It can be offensive to the people who do like it, you know.
I know it's an opinion, but people should just keep that to themselves and not make hate threads about the book, movie, etc.

I think it's a little rude when people do that.

I'd disagree. Although I agree those threads may be running rampant, topics like that (Books, movies, etc) shouldn't be depending on whether or not it offends people. In my experience on other forums, hate threads often pop up when love threads become numerous. It's not fair that the people who don't like something should keep quiet in case someone who does will be offended by an opinion of that nature.

yes, those threads are a bit unneeded ;P But, for the record, I find them hilarious!(especially the icons they have x3) BUT, if those people are allowed to obsess over those said books/movies publicly, we should be allowed to hate it publicly.

You know what I really hate? The fact that most of these twilight fans only became twilight fans because of the movie. Harry Potter has movies, but I don't think it's ever been as discussed as Twilight. Popular-probably, but I haven't seen people flame at other people for not reading it/loving it.

Actually, it's usually the dubbing that's wrong, and the subtitles more accurate... ^_^" Bad dubbing drives me bonkers. In some animes it works...Pokemon isn't so bad, and Sailor Moon probably seems better to me dubbed because that's how I started watching it. But something like DN angel, and a lot of Rorouni Kenshin...ugh -shudder-

Love threads, hate threads; if you're on one side, then stay away from the other! ;D

And, Lunella, your signature is SO bogus. I mean, seriously, "you're signature"? "Put this in you are signature"? What, now I'm a signature, too? If you're going to hate something, then do it right. :P Please change it to, 'Put this in your signature'. Haven't you ever learned possessives? *shakes head* Also, take that Jacob thingy out of your signature. JACOB ROCKS. The vampires are lame. JACOB ROCKS. :D

That is extremely uncalled for rudeness. owo People are allowed to have their own opinion, no?

I'm guessing that you're fairly young then, or you would probably remember the insane Harry Potter mania when the series was about halfway through being published (the books, not the movies, as Harry Potter gained most of its fans through the books first). Back then, there were massive flame wars over whether Snape was innocent or not (huge campaigns everywhere of 'I trust in Severus Snape' versus 'Snape is evil'), which book was best, who Harry should end up with, whether Draco was evil or misunderstood, how it would all end, whether Remus was better than Sirius, etc. I would actually say that Twilight is nothing compared to Harry Potter in terms of how discussed and prevalent it is. On top of that, Harry Potter is still around and being discussed now, and has been continuously for the entire thirteen years since the first book was published. ;) As Meyer herself said: "It's terribly flattering to be compared to her, but there's never going to be another J. K. Rowling; that's a phenomenon that's not gonna happen again".

hehe. I was one of the few people who honestly believed that Dumbledore was secretly evil. xD

Personally I can't stand the epilogue Rowling wrote at the end of it all. ;p It seemed really fan girlish and rushed compared to the rest of the series, but what can you do.

Ugh, with little James Sirius and little Lily Luna and little Albus Severus... blech. Someone obviously lost their baby name book. >.< I've seen much better fanfics, honestly. The last book on the whole was a bit of a let-down to me (though I suppose it would have been impossible for it to live up to the ridiculously high expectations), but the epilogue was the worst.

I was always a Snape supporter, had the ribbon and everything, but Dumbledore I wasn't too sure about. Seriously, he put Harry in more danger than anyone else in the book, trained Voldemort, had an evil best friend, and let a bunch of little kids run around fighting evil wizards who were trying to kill them instead of doing anything himself. Does this sound like a nice guy you want to have looking after your children? o.O

Oh gosh, I remember all of those crazy debates (which I did not actively participate in, just to clear that up). xD I believed that Snape was "good," but when I told my best friend that she got mad at me. >.> I also remember some drama about whether Hermione was going to end up with Harry or Ron.

I share your frustrations with Dumbledore, too. He could have made things so much easier if he'd just taken the time to explain everything to Harry. For example, he could have let Harry know he'd told Snape to kill him and pretend to be evil.

And yes, the epilogue was terrible. I wish I hadn't read it because it was so awful. Poor Albus Severus; that kid has a hard life ahead of him with that name. xD

I still think, ignoring the epilogue, that Harry Potter is the best series I've ever read, though. <3
