Skipper beckoned to a small molemaid and told her to pack a haversack. She nodded and scurried off to do this.

The molemaid got a haversack and began to fill it, first putting in a flask of strawberry cordial and one of damson wine. She then filled it with food that wouldn't break or crumble too much.
