Sorry, but I was just reading another thread (the "worst book you ever read" thread) and several people are on there bashing The Hobbit. Mostly because these people don't seem to have the patience to read it. You know, it's fine if you don't like something...but to call it the worst book ever just because you have a hard time reading it??? That drives me nuts. People so very rarely see the beauty of some of these classical books nowadays. I wish more of the younger generation would appreciate these kinds of books and not bash on them because "they're old", or whatever reasoning they have. I mean, these stories and novels have lasted this long for a reason...because they are GOOD books.
