That's something that's weird about me...I LOVE the way Tolkien writes. To me, his words just flow in a way that no other writer does. I mean, when I first started to read his writing, it was definitely difficult, but once I got the hang of it, I LOVED it. And now I find it so difficult to read anything less challening. Somehow only Tolkien's works flow really smooth for me...
Oh, and I am also a Harry Potter fan. Tolkien's works are still by far my favorite, but my top three favorite series are all of Tolkien's works (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, etc.), Harry Potter, and the Chronicles of Narnia XD.
I guess because all three are really unique ideas. I mean, you at least need to give Rowling credit for that. I do agree that the first twoish books are a bit simple...but they were her first books ever written and they are pretty good all things considered. And I firmly believe that the success with Harry Potter couldn't have happened to a better person. Everything that Rowling went through before Harry Potter...she so deserved her success.
Stephanie Meyer?...Not so much...She just acts like a spoiled little brat.
And stuff like Twilight? That crap has been done WAY too many times...
"But Link, when all of this is over...will you come wake me up?"
