History:I got Jungle when I was seven, for a surprise birthday present. I am now 13 and ever since I got him, he has been my best friend. Every time I was sad, I just had to look at him and he made me laugh by doing his special little dance or doing his funny squawk/laugh! A couple of months ago I found a small lump on his shoulder. My dad took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with a tumorous cancer. I cried for days at just the thought of losing him. His situation just got worse and worse from there. He had surgery to cut out the tumour. The vets thought that he wouldn't even survive this, but he did. We brought him home and I was becoming hopeful, when the cancer came back. To my absolute hatred and dispair, we were told that we should put him down. I spent weeks pondering the idea. He became less and less like himself. I made up my mind. I loved him so much that I knew I needed to let him go. The day after I made my decision, he died. I was at school. That morning I had said 'see you this afternoon' to him and in the afternoon he was simply gone. My heart broke. At least I knew he died at the comfort of home. Now I am fully recorved from my loss. I still love him so much but I know he is happier now!
