Ew. It' so sunny outside right now. Normally, I don't give a crap about the weather, but here's the thing; I'm all tucked away in my dungeon/cave/bedroom, and this one, puny window is all I have in terms of natural light source. And because my room's in the basement, all I get is this bland, dim light that comes into my room. And it makes me feel so depressed to be hidden in my bedroom, while the sun is out.
It's not that I want to be in the sun, but I hate the atmosphere it gives to my room. Instead of getting this warm, happy glow, it's starched and pale and makes me think of how lonely I am. So here I am, wrting in this pale, ugly journal, in my pale, ugly room on a pale, ugly Sunday. Everything feels pale and ugly. And it's all thanks to that stupid sun.
Go away, you sun of a b*tch. Hehe, that was almost funny.
Kitty hasn't gone back from her morning stroll, but she's been texting me like mad. I keep getting this stupid little messages from her detailing how she found this old, Victorian-era mansion. Whatever, like I give a d*mn about some lame mansion. Kitty's really into this whole Lolita junk, and this one text she sent me said how it'd be a great clubhouse.
Yeah, the only problem is there's no club, stupid. My sister can be a real idiot sometimes. She's got plenty of book smarts, but she's cocky and self-assured. She's too much of a dreamer, and she thinks as long as she can dream it, she can do it. Stupid, huh?
Well, I pride myself on being much more of a realist. I'll take a whack at it, and if I fail, then I ditch the whole project. One of my mottos is, "If at first you don't succeed, burn any evidence that you tried." And it's true.
One time, I tried to ride a pony when I was younger. Probably only like five, and I fell off the first time. Nobody knew about it, but my mom took pictures of me when I fell, and put them in our family scrapbook. And then, one day a classmate of mine found the picture (she was being a total rat, by the way and kept snooping through our stuff), and she never let me hear the end of it. What was her name again? It was Shirley something. Anyway, after about the 100th teasing, I snapped at her and totally called our friendship off.
That was the last time that Shirley and I ever had an encounter.
