Whooooo ! That was the one sound Siopi,the barn owl,made.She could make others,such as a screech,but there was no need.She should have gone into her hollow,deep in the trunk of tree,but she had noticed Bellatrix had left earlier.Just do this..Then..then go to sleep,She thought,beating her wings once,twice,and then staying in the air,her feather not rustling,created no sound whatsoever.Soon,the wind grew colder.

Now entering Velocia Clan,she kept her large,brown owl eyes down,in search of the cat.She was easy to spot.Whoooo ! She called,it was a funny sound to hear so early.She stopped flying ahead,no staying in one spot.Her eyes searched and she found Gezelle,up in a nearby tree.Should I get Aionios?No..Maybe he wasn't aloud to come.Better wait for Bellatrix...,The owl thought, descending lower and lower in a tight spiral.Extending out her talons,she grabbed hold of a branch,which was a little on the thinner side,and turned her head side to side,waiting for Bell to say something,if anything.

Phia knew that they would most likely let the loner go, but she still didn't want to take any chances. She also hadn't wanted to let him go without first consulting with Alackazar. Due to an event that occured early in her life and changed the course of it, she was always very hesitant to trust anyone. Especially if they were a stranger or did anything that would give her the slightest bit of suspicion. Then out of the middle of nowhere came Fusaro, flying frantically straight towards her. He chirped worriedly wondering if she was ok. Phia gave a smile and purred softly to let Fusaro know she was ok. Fusaro, obviously overjoyed to know, chirped once more and then flew over and hopped on her shoulder. He was the only creature Phia knew that could make her smile even in her worst times.

Mercaro jumped easily from branch to branch, making no sound. Occasionally, he would stop to glance around for any other cats. The rays of the early morning sun shown through the holes of the canopy creating patches of light on the forest floor. It had been a rather quiet morning, too quiet in his opinion. There had been no traces of Cavallino cats. Either they had learned to cover their trails better, or he was going to run into one at any second. He remained watchful and kept his ears pricked, ready to here Llew's signal at any moment.

Gezelle

Gezelle was having a hard time moving by tree. She was unfamiliar with the slippery texture of the tree's bark. It wasn't anything like the mountains she loved to climb. After a pounce to another tree's branches, Gezelle's claws slipped and she shrieked. For a moment it was like the world was still and nothing was moving, her just suspended in air. But then the world came back quickly in a rush of air flying through her fur and in her ears as she fell. Instinct took over and she flipped over, landing feet first on another branch several feet below her original location. The leaves must have made a racket because a flock of birds somewhere in the distance took off into the sky and Bellatrix was frozen on a branch above her. Seeing her face made her tremble in fear, then Gezelle sunk her claws into the bark of the branch she was perched on saying a million of cuss words to herself in her head.
Today was just not a good day.

Bellatrix stood still when she heard the sound of a bird, then turned and looked. "Crap..." She said under her breath when she caught the sight of Aionios' Sight bird. Her eye looked up at Siopi and nodded. "Go get him" She said in a hushed tone. Her head spun towards the sound of Gezelle's shriek, she jumped down a few branches and stood just above Gezelle. "Are you ok Gezelle?" Bellatrix asked in a worried tone, she looked for a sign of blood or any other injury on her before her eye looked back at Gezelle.

Llew's signal sounded, but Mercaro didn't need it he had already heard them. A loud noise, the rustle of leaves, the birds flying off; he wasn't alone in the trees. He froze and looked around until he locked his amber gaze on two cats. Mercaro stayed still wondering if they would venture any closer to him. He then sized them up; one who was obivously part cougar, seemed to be having particular trouble managing her way in the trees.

Akari couldn't help herself and smiled back at the loner in front of her. She could literally feel the tension that rolled from his body like a wave, practically hearing the thoughts pounding inside his head. Having once been in a situation similar to this, she understood how he felt, though she wasn't about to speak aloud. Phia was already pissed, and seeing herself speaking with their "prisoner," would probably only piss her off more.
But the look in his eyes.. It was as if he was actually talking to her, but he wasn't using words. She could sense that he was more on her side than he was on Phia's, and the grateful gleam in his eyes made her brighten up a bit.
Lost in her own thoughts, she didn't realize that they were so close to camp until the scents suddenly flooded into her nose, sharp and accurate, which made her snap quickly out of the zombie-like trance. Noticing that Kagu was nowhere to be found, she let out a soft roar-like sound, and although it was quiet, it would echo around the forest for Kagu with his sensitive ears.
Sure enough, she heard a screech and he hovered above her, chirping once at Phia's sight bird, Fusaro, before flying ahead into the camp. Grateful that she could sort-of relax again, she rolled her eyes as her paw pads scraped against stone, guiding her silently into the encampment.

Phia came into the camp with the loner and Akari. Then sat down, not really caring if they sat down with her or went somewhere else. As soon as she sat down she began licking her wounded paw to clean the wound and get rid of the dried blood that was caked in the fur surrounding it. Fursaro, being his usually worried self, hopped off of her shoulder and then onto the ground. He stared directly at her wounded paw and then looked at her with a concerned look. "It's nothing, really. You need to stop worrying about me so much."She murmured to the bluejay. He looked back at her still unsure; then flew off into the trees.

The forest was dead silent. Birds didn't chirp anymore, and even the annoying buzz of forest insects quieted, all Gezelle could hear was her heart beat. Bellatrix landed softly by her and spoke softly, but Gezelle didn't hear her, only the slight quiver of worry of her voice. "I-I...I'm so sorry..." Gezelle couldn't make eye contact with her lead, she was so ashamed and was only thinking I killed us Bellatrix. They're going to be coming now..and kill us.

"Kavé, you've already proved yourself many times over, one slip-up doesn't change the value of your loyalty," Baskin spoke this in both seriousness and compassion.
In the distance a flock of birds took flight from inside the forest into the air with quiet caws. Aiyah, his sight bird took flight to go and investigate the action. Instinct from once being a Scout wanted to lead Baskin toward the mystery in the woods, but he ignored it so that he could tell Kavé something. Motioning his head toward the spot in the woods, he said with a small smile, "If you still don't feel like you've done enough, why don't you go out and defend your clan while being able to be called Lead Tracker."

Kavé looked up so suddenly at Baskins words that Niko almost fell off, and gave her a irritated litte squawk at her as he righted himself. For a second Kavé wasn't sure if she was hearing correctly, though logicaly, she knew she was. She was so utterly surprised, that for a moment she alsmost lost her composure. She briefly pened her mouth the tiniest bit, but closed it again. She very nearly asked if Baskin was sure, but she caught herself and quickly tried to find her professional side once more. She dipped her head to him again, trying to shield her emotions once more, and only partially succeeding. "Thank you. I'll get on with organizing the trackers immediatly. Do you have any areas in which you would like us to focus?" She blinked, wondering if Baskin could see the gratitude in her eyes.
Never in her life had she expected a promotion like this. Sure, she was one of the best in her feild, but she had assumed one of the other trackers, one who was more popular with the clan. In a way, she was actually a bit nervous. She didn't always like dealing with other cats, being of a fairly inverted nature. She supposed she'd just have to get used to it, as she'd now be dealing with all the other trackers at the very least.

For a moment the mountain lion in front of him was in another world. Her eyes showed an excitement he thought only existed in young adventurous cubs, but as soon as the moment happened it was gone. Kavé recollected herself and asked him what she needed do.
"Kavé," Baskin said with an understanding, "You're a tracker, do what you know best." At that, he began to turn away, but he thought he saw a glimpse of disappointment flicker in her eyes. Before he said anything, Baskin lept up onto a rocky shelf near the base of the mountain and turned to her saying, "Defend you clan, if any situation gets out of hand, send Niko to search for help."
Baskin stood there to watch her go, or to see if she wanted his help. He wanted to be with her, but partially he knew that she would want to do this on her own more to prove to herself that she deserved to be a Lead. In that case, Baskin began to think of cave spots that would make for good protection while he could use the Sight...
