((Lol, Halo shall notice them... xD))
Halo
Halo tryed his best to keep up with the mare, but cut away at the last minute. He hobbled a little as he slowed to a stop, muttering quietly to himself. "My foot, my foot, my foot..." he didn't need to put anymore stress on that sprain today, so he'd just go off and quietly graze for a while. If she wanted to talk to him, she'd come. And besides, Canad had it covered. With a flick of his tail, the equid glanced up toward Dolce. He had to blink a few times to focus, refusing to squint at the tremendous glare her coat caused. She was peacefully asleep, her main gently blown by the wind, and he smiled happily to himself at the wonderous site. She looked so innocent, her legs giving a subtle twitch every now and then as he watched. Taking a few steps toward her in curiousity, her twitches abruptly shifted to frightened jerks. A worried look now dominating his features, he awkwardly trotted after her. That's when she shot up, wide awake, Livius rushing to her aid in meer seconds. He gave a loud snort, his tail ticking agitatedly as he marched off toward the river. Once his hooves hit wet stone, a faint chuckle escaped his throat. A brown equid, with simple, black stripes stared back up at him from an inclosed puddle. A reflection. He looked back up at the herd, examining Livius openly. His grey coat, artfully tipped with darker colors and white striping, was far more striking than he could ever be. He let his head hang for a brief moment, gazing back at himself with a glum sigh. At least Canad was still single, that made him feel a little better about life. Canad was every bit as stunning as Livius, and led a herd, yet he remained on his own. That ment that his looks and personality didn't have anything to do with his matelessness... Then he shook his head, trying to clear his head before a desturbing and generally bothersome thought took hold. But it was too late. What if it wasn't him, but his status? Being a loner always drew up tones of useful and alluring chatter, and he never ceased to attract mares back when he used to... his new found status was scaring away the girls. He froze for a moment, letting that eat away at his mind for a bit, and then looked up. Something rustled in the trees on the west side, and he let his ears prick to listen. Something was over there, but not human. His eyes roving the trees for further movement, his silent juggling of "Mares vs Status" became interupted. Then he heard a distant nicker. "Who goes there?" he shouted over the roaring river, a strange stallion soon arriving at the water's edge.
