Lamont listened to her, but before he could respond, her father had pulled up. He quickly bowed to the man, and nodded to Effey. "Yes, I'll likely see you soon." He said to her, waving as well. Once they had left, he decided to return to the house. He could see Geneveive was still having fun playing flute and dancing with the children, so he didn't bother her. She'd go back eventually. He quickly started to walk towards the mansion that was his family's, hoping his father would be too busy to even notice the red head had left.

Leon looked up when he heard Cecily. "No, I am not. That girl is infuriating. She comes here, hoping I'll take her for a bride for money, and now she has the nerve to wedge herself into my personal life. She's learning things I don't want anyone to know, trying to expose these things. If I didn't know any better, I'd say she's trying to take me down on the list of nobles, make me fail, trying to throw me onto the streets." He was a good liar, and his words flowed out like he never even thought about it. "Come here Cecily. I need to talk to you. Close the door behind you."

Cecily listened from the doorway. She didn't know that Miss Shadow had caused master so much stress. She could see on how all these things could upset the master. Actually after she heard the part about Miss Shadow requesting to be his bride Cecily found herself a little upset about the point. Cecily did not like the idea of a marriage between Miss Shadow and master. She was pulled back out of her own thoughts by the master's request. Cecily nodded and did what was asked of her. She walked into the room and gently shut the door behind her. She stood with her hands folded neatly in front of her and waited for whatever it was that the master wanted.

I smiled, gazing out the window as we road in the carriage towards the hunting grounds where the rest of my family was waiting."So that was the Flambard boy right?"my farther asked me and I looked up at him"Yes,his name is Lamont,I saw him while on my way to get something for the girls and he already has the new pistol model and you know me I just had to ask about it"I said with a slightly giggle and my farther smiled.We soon reached the rest of the family,I got out of the carriage with my farther and the coach men unhooked the horses and put on their hunting tack.I mounted one and so did my farther and the whole family took off riding into the woods geared up for the hunt,I smiled as I raced through the woods looking for the game.

Alice
I began to pace in my room,thinking about all the exits and ententes and where that man was most of the day.I had to find a way out but the big issues was that gate,and we weren't allowed to leave unless he said it was ok.Now with the whole issues I didn't think he would let me go out with out someone around me and was probably going to have Cecily keep a close eye on me from now on.I had to find a way out and I wondered if I could get word out through Miss.Shadow,unless he was to cast his spell onto her as well. But would that be a good idea since people know where she is and he most likely has already threaten her not to breath a word and I didn't want to involve her in this anymore to where she would really get hurt. What was I going to do,my best option was to wait until I earned his trust again and just run and leave the next time I get out,but I lived so far away from this town could I really make it back on my own and if I went to the yard would they believe me and I'd have to lie and say I didn't remember anything about who kidnapped me.That way he wouldn't feel as much of a need to come after me since I keep my mouth shut or would he............?

Leon stood, and walked closer towards her. "I have a request to ask of you." He said, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Report to me anything strange happening to Alice and Miss Shadow. Be wary of Shadow, as she may try to hypnotize you. She wants to tear the house apart, and what better way to start than with the servants, the backbone? I fear she may have already gotten Alice. Do not accept anything either of them give you that is food or drink. I've found Shadow has made a tea to do horrible things, like hypnosis. She is trying to get you two away from me." He told her, then sighed lightly, hugging her again. "And I forbid you to leave me. If Alice leaves, I'll only have you. And if you leave, I'll be alone, and eventually fall into despair. It's impossible to find servants like you and Alice, ones who can also be a friend and not just a worker."

Instead of going home right away, Geneveive wandered through the market, taking in the sights and smells. Her flute was still in hand, but she was of course not playing it. She wasn't going to buy anything today, but she did like to look around. And once the Duke came over, shed be restricted to leave until he left. She didn't like him too much, but he was a very good medic according to her standards. He was no surgeon, but he knew basics and beyond. She was thinking maybe studying with him some day. Maybe. She sighed lightly, still walking through the market. She knew she had to be careful, it wasn't a good place to be if you happened to be a young female. Especially if you got near the alleys.

Cecily looked up as the master spoke and listened carefully. Miss Shadow wanted to hypnotize her? Cecily inwardly frowned at the thought. Why would Miss Shadow want to hypnotize Cecily and Alice to take them away from here? As far as Cecily's understanding went she and Alice were both content on living here. If what the master was saying was true, than Miss Shadow was trying to take Alice away already, and then Cecily herself. When the master hugged her she paused and then listened very carefully. Cecily couldn't help but smile a bit, for even the thought of Cecily ever leaving to her was so untrue it was silly. Cecily returned the hug and whule resting her cheek on his shoulder she replied. "It would be impossible for me to ever leave you master." She smiled and pulled back. "I will do as instructed master. I promise that it wouldn't cause you any worry anymore."

After a while, the cases started to give Jacob a headache, so he quickly discarded them off to the side and sighed inwardly. There were to many problems in this world and he did not have the effort to try and solve them all. He was just one man. By looking at him it was hard to believe that Jacob used to be so gentle and simple. He was a man of smiles but now he was a hard outer shell like most other people. He decided to leave. The others could do without him and Jacob could use a personal day for once. Besides it wasn't long until he was suppose to punch out anyway. Jacob just stayed late by choice. He grabbed his coat off the rack before he left and only grunted slightly in reply to the few goodbyes that were thrown his way. Having skipped lunch, Jacob walked off into the market area to maybe pick up something to eat. As he began to walk, he began to notice a few things. The people around him mostly stuck out to him. They were loud, but not unhappy. Jacob noticed the little things in the crowd. He saw the children running after each other in a game, and the sly cat chasing a mouse in one of the stands. Jacob noticed men and woman walking arm and arm while the mothers fussed over their children. For a split second, Jacob smiled slightly. It was a warm feeling in this place, and he liked it.

Leon smiled lightly, kissing her on the forehead. "Good girl." He said to her. "At least I can count on you." He said, then looked back. "Now, go along. I'll get you if I need you." He told her, walking to his chair again. He opened a book, still determined to find what the herb for the tea was called. He had to know if he was to find the plant and destroy any nearby sources. He sighed softly, getting a bit tired of straying from his original work.

Gen had found nothing of interest, and was soon walking away from the bustle of the market. She had been yelled at by a few stall owners because of her peasant appearance and that she was a "no good street rat". Oh, if they only knew that she could order their arrest at any time. But she didn't tell them anything about her lineage and that this was just a costume, for lack of a better term. As she looked back, she could see a small group following her, but paid them no mind.

Cecily nodded with an almost sheepish grin before she turned to carryout what was asked of her. Cecily opened the door quietly to the library and turned her gaze once back to the master before walking out and waiting for the click of the door before she went on her way. Cecily smiled to herself with a paused until she looked back up and headed off to Alice's room. This whole household had been turned almost upside down in but a day, thought Cecily. First there was the issue of Miss Shadow upsetting master, then Alice's accident, and these blasted headaches that kept plaguing Cecily were no fun either. At least in the midst of all of this confusion Cecily wasn't completely hopeless. Coming upon Alice's room, Cecily knocked respectfully about three times before entering. Cecily's smiling face greeted the younger maid sweetly. "Alice! Are you feeling better?" Cecily asked cheerfully. The look on Alice's face made Cecily suspect that something was wrong, but Cecily would not be rude and force anything out of her friend. She would wait for Alice to tell her herself what was on her mind. In the meantime Cecily could have a friendly chat with her while she coaxed the story out little by little.

I looked at her and wiped away my tears"I'm fine,I'm sorry it seems I am causing everyone to worry about me a lot today"i say with a sigh and sit down on my bed"Please tell me no one found out about what tomorrow is?"i asked her, I looked up at her with sad eyes. They were real anyway and I had to find a way to use them to get her off my back knowing full well that he had sent her here just to spy on me, to see if I had truly come back as the real Alice.

Shadow walked out of her room she wanted to talk to Alice to see if she truly was herself. Maybe she could help her escape but how... She thought to herself and as she walked down the hallway she plastered a fake smile on her face and acted happy. She stayed away from Jenny because she knew that one look from Jenny and the truth and everything would be out there.

After studying for a while, Leon stood, snapping the book shut, and placed in on the table. He would continue later. He was having a hard time focusing after the occurrences of the hour. No, not even an hour. It happened so fast, that even he was confused. He knew he had yelled at Shadow, but he couldn't remember why now. He shrugged it off, then went to his room, keeping the doors open. If Alice really was breaking free, he would have to put her back under the spell. He couldn't be reported. He looked up at a painting above his desk, one of his parents, and sighed. "If you two wouldn't have died, I wouldn't have to do this..." He muttered. He knew the picture well. It was finished and delivered to the house merely a week before his mother's death, and his father followed soon after. Like two love birds, when one died, the other died from loneliness. Leon always figured that the reason why his father got sick was because of that reason; Depression.
