Star leaped and latched himself onto the back of the Spriklag. He had seperated it from its herd and now was about to kill it. It bucked around, trying to get him off, but he held on too tight.

Midnight picked up the stone she'd found and placed it in her den. It was nothing special-just a river rock. It had the same rainbow color as the other rocks, the same shape, the same smooth surface. Just a regular river rock. But she had seen it, and it had seemed to call to her. She'd grabbed it and brought it here. It wasn't the only thing-she had sticks and flowers and other rocks. Her favorite was the Forever Daisy. She rubbed her nose against it, inhaling the beautiful scent. Surprisingly, her cave was always neat even though she had many things in it. She grabbed a bone and started gnawing on it, sharpening her teeth.
