Fawnpool looked at him curiously. "You see better out of it?" she wondered aloud. "How?"

[Brightpaw]

"No. I'm going to help you. If I killed you, that would start a massive war. Not clever." Blackpelt said, looking at him calmly through her huge blue eyes. Her tail waved hypnotically, and when she shifted position, she was like a small black shadow on the forest floor.

[Mistress Shadow.]

Splashfoot blinked "Where is Windstream?" he demanded

"I can see the dust particals floating in the air, the smallest crack in the rock, the tinyest peice of dirt.." He answered. "It's wonderful." Fallenshadow looked Fawnpool directly in the eye.

"How should I know?" Blackpelt said irritably. She flicked her tail with annoyance.

"You could have captured her, just as you did WhiteLick" He spit at WhiteLick's name, he still hated her

Fawnpool withered when she saw his eyes head-on. The redness....it was unbearable. No matter how much she loved him, she could not bring herself to look at it, and the blue pools that were her eyes slitted until only the merest flash of light showed that she had them open at all.

Fallenshadow gasped and closed the eye immidiatly. "I'm sorry.." He apoligized. "I didn't know.."

"Do I look like I would?" Blackpelt said calmly. "I have some sense!" she said, trying to lighten the mood.
