Echostorm laughed, licking a oaw and bringing it over her ear. "That was fun. That was the closest anyone has come in quite a while to beating me at a fight," She smiled cheerfully, cocking her head slightly.

Moon stumbled around the Tribe camp, waiting for her Tribemates to return from their rituals. She was alone with the elders, who only rarely attended the dance of the Shimmering Willows. The dance of the Shimmering Willows was an ancient Tribe tradition in which the cats moved in patterns and circles along the hillside. The willows on the hill always swayed in the breeze, appearing to answer to their dancing. One day Moon hoped to join the dance.

Red walked in a spiral pattern along the grass, then stopping, bowing her head to the nearest willow tree before turning a full circle to the right and continuing to the next tree.

Cliff followed his brother Shade, unsure of the pattern. He had never really bothered to learn yet. He tried to memorize the dance but ended up still dumbly following Shade.

((yeah, but maybe that's somethin about the tribe: the kits follow their parents at a young age and learn the ways and stuff, as opposed to having to stay in the nursery. My 3-month-old foster kittens are certainly at the age where they would benefit from that xD))

Shade bent and swayed in the patterns, curving effortlessly around in the circles. He could tell that Cliff was struggling and wanted desperately to help him, but the rules forbade him from speaking. His full attention was to be given to the ancients.

Autumn stared at the ground numbly as she went through the motions. This dance, this time, was set apart for the ancients, but she didn't feel like her heart was in it. She stumbled and got up quickly, but she had already messed up the dance. Wonderful...
