Zarago wrote:Mm, same here. Everyone who starts watching Sherlock and likes it will soon become hooked. It is just so cleverly written, and different from some of the 'stuff' you get nowadays.
I know, right? Some of the stuff on TV *cough*Any Simon Cowell "talent" show, TOWIE, Big Fat Gypsy Wedding*cough* is painful to watch.
Sherlock is what British TV should be like. We shall be credited for the invention of Sherlock, NOT the invention of the X Factor.

Zarago wrote:Exactly. I suppose people who could put their talent into making good shows are asked to make cruddy ones for the majority. Meaning people with not much taste.
Another thing that annoys me is when a channel try and make a spin-off of a program, except it's really bad. It makes it all cringeworthy and painful to watch, especially when it's obvious that the producers must have watched it and decided to make a program as a replica to make more money.
Fact: BBC rule when it comes to Dramas. U.U

Here is a very good fan fiction. Its unfinished, but I'm really enjoying it.
Have you guys heard the horrible news? NBO or another American brand are recreating Sherlock. In America. In New York. Titled 'Elementary'.
Fffffff
He never, not once, said 'Elementary', Never.
Arthur Conan Doyle would be rolling around in his grave.

Nu, I dun like the fan fiction. One, Sherlock is not obsessed with his cigarettes (he has nicotine patches), and is trying to quit smoking. And two, not more dating, please. A Scandal in Belgravia was bad enough.
Anyway, the Americans are making one called 'Elementary'?
Good god, no.

Chances are, this American Sherlock/ Elementary thing is going to rubbish. Sherlock will probably have a gun, Watson would have a taser, and Lestrade would be head of the CIA. They'll go round blasting the heads off people whilst "solving" mysteries (probably such as Moriarty having loads of missiles, or to find some sort of serial killer who's killed three people every Thursday) and they'll be countless women involved. Oh, and Mycroft is best friends with the President.
Well, that's all based on what the Sherlock Holmes movies were about. Put it this way:
American TV = Action,
British TV = Intelleucts/ really bad "reality" TV
Either that, or they make Sherlock a vampire and Watson a werewolf.
