Artyom blushed, starting to grow nervous, but his 'excitement' covered all fear. He shivered as the leader of the group touched his chest; maybe he did have a chance with these girls. They were from the sea, and he was from a saltwater lake..., "Um...I-i'm from Buryatia-Baikal Lake." He stammered. The more nervous and excited he grew, the thicker his accent grew.

Bella frowned and got between Artyom and her cousins. "They mean that they will quite literally eat you." She said, "Please leave him be. It's against school policy to eat other students." She took Artyom's hand and pulled him away. The naiads pouted.
"Oh, but, Trixie..." The leader looked Artyom over bt knew it was useless to fight Bellatrix. "I will see you later, boy from the Buryatia-Baikal Lake." She hummed, waving her fingers at him as Bellatrix dragged him out of the dorm.
"I'm so sorry, it was unfair of me to introduce you to them and then drag you away." Bellatrix said, frowning.

Artyom kept blushing and mumbling to himself--now in all Russian--until Bella blocked his view of the girl.s He whined and tried to push her away, until she dragged him out of the room. He waved back to the girl, blushng and grinning, then turned around and glared at Bella.
"Wait...Eat me? As in literally?" He said. Wow. He knew some species of beautiful men and women did that, but...He thought he was smart enough to get out of it. He had had this happen before, but he was always in his true form. Maybe that's what mattered; in his true form, only frogs and fish were attractive, "No, it was stupid of me to not realize this could have happened." He said, "In all my years, I've had this happen three times, and all three times I barely got away."

Artyom blushed, mentally cursing himself, "Well....That's my fault too. I should have shifted to my normal form." He answered. He actually didn't think that was a good idea; having a fish tail instead of legs would not have helped him escape, even if he wouldn't be attracted to the women.
"Hmm...I want to eat again." He said as his stomach growled. Arty laughed and poked his belly.

Artyom picked at his gills, wincing a bit, feeling just how dry they were getting. He didn't need as much oxygen as fish or other water-breathers did. That's the only reason why he could stay so long on land, "Back to the room, please. I need a freshener." He answered, listening ot her song. He had his own creepy tunes to scare humans away.

An aurai's song was mostly for a human's benefit. At night lots of them liked to try to chance the woods or walk the streets while an aura floated about and watched the most heartless come out. If they saw an innocent they would whistle their song and the human would get scared and hurry back home. And sometimes they liked to just whistle it because it was so beautifully haunting. "Alright." Bellatrix smiled and went back to the dorms and plopped down on her bed. Being around the naiads always took a toll on her self-esteem.

Artyom face-planted onto the water bed. He fell into it was a "sluursh!" and stayed there, floating in the direct middle of the water. Slowly he flipped around, his gills wide open and very noticeable, and reached for his journal to write what had happened.

Bellatrix turned to Artyom and watched him for a long moment. "So what did you think of them? The naiads, I mean." She asked. Naiad's tended to remind everyone of mermaids sans the tails. Dryads were mistaken for elves with their tall, willowy bodies and graceful, silent walks. Aurai were never anything special, only as noticeable as a breeze. The strong breezes, the ones people pay attention to, were a harpie's work. Not theirs.
