I just finished Defeating Alduin and along the way I found some helpful cheats that could help you within the game. Like making a fighting gang to help with defeating those dragons! You don't have to do it alone! The first thing you want to do is join the Companions in Whiterun and do several missions for them then you will get invited to become a werewolf...you can become a vampire but the Werewolf is stronger. The werewolf helps you defeat groups of bandits or other baddies real quick since you have the ability to abuse the shout that causes fear then when they are running like pansies you can chase after them and kill them. After killing your first dragon you become the Thane of Whiterun and you will get a House Carl but I personally think she is better off staying at your house because I lost her almost instantly and for most of the game she didn't show up until I found her dead in The temple of Mara(A place I had never been before and I found it strange that she showed up there!) Buy yourself a horse I know they are expensive but when you are on the road and you are getting attacked the horse will aid you and fight!( The best thing to do is to join the Dark Brother Hood you get a hard to kill horse and also if you do enough missions for the Dark brotherhood you will get the spectral assassin who is very helpful in aiding you...he will be in your Magic under Powers) If you go to Markarth Stables you can buy yourself a war dog for 500 septims but be warned they don't last long so instead start the quest to gain Barbas he is a talking dog but instead of finishing that quest keep him since his owner will just want you to kill him anyways. Refer to the cheats below to get farther information.

Other Cheats

Finding Barbas

Go to the town called Falkreath and locate a Smith Named Lod and he will ask you to find him this dog who has been seen running around outside the village. Go look for him and the dog will talk to you and tell you he had a falling out with his owner (Yes the dog talks surprisingly) then follow him to the Shrine of Clavicus Vile after speaking to the Daedra Lord Barbas will accompany you, instead of finishing the quest keep him as long as you like and since he is part of a quest he can't be killed. He will attack any enemy even dragons he makes a good distraction so that you can finish off your enemies.

Joining the Dark Brotherhood

Go to Riverwood and talk to the bartender at the inn and ask about the latest rumors and they will tell you about a boy named Aventus Aretino who has been trying to contact the dark brotherhood and he is located in the Aretino Residence in Windhelm. You will have to pick the lock to get in but after speaking to him you will start the quest called 'Innocence is lost' after completing the quest you will get a note from the dark brotherhood then go to any bed available and sleep once you wake up you will have been kidnapped by the leader of the Brotherhood and she will tell you to kill one of the three people tied up in the shed just kill them all if you like. Once that is done you will be invited to join. If you do enough contracts you will get Shadowmere and the spectral assassin.

Skeleton key

You can obtain a unbreakable lock pick that can open any door just join the Thieves guild in Riften and complete all the quests that lead up to receiving the skeleton key but instead of returning it when asked just postpone the quest and keep it for as long as you like.

I will add more when I get the time but if you have your own tips and cheats feel free to leave them behind or you can tell me about any glitches that you have had.

Fist off, horses are pretty useless. They die nearly immediately whether falling down a small hill or having a wolf eat it. Don't waste money on any horse- they die within a few minutes of use. I hear shadowmere has so much health it is pretty unkillable, so that would be the only one I endorse.

I personally hate werewolf form. It takes forever to wear off, you can't loot anything and you die way too easily because you can't use pots.

If you want a real spoiler, don't touch the faction quest until you get to near the end of the game. The meeting of the minds is SO worth seeing and you WILL MISS IT if you finish faction quest. Starting the faction quest bugs other quests, so best to leave that alone until the story gets to it.

Also, doing those faction quests with the summon got later in the game is AMAZING!
Nothing like getting an order to invade a fully armed castle, snap your fingers (or shout in this case) and have a giant dragon come kill everything while you stand on the tallest tower and just watch the carnage below.

Weird the horses that I bought never died and I actually accidentally killed Shadowmere so the horse is killable but it is rather easy to fix if you save a lot so all I had to do was load my last save to get Shadowmere back(also works if you have a regular horse) Just remember to !!SAVE OFTEN!!

The werewolf transformation doesn't last long if you don't feed and I do agree that is annoying that you can't pick anything up! Although like I said all you have to do is abuse the shout ability to scare your enemies(just doesn't work on certain enemies like Dragers defaintly meant more for bandits!)so you don't die so easily! Sure chasing them is a hassle but they aren't swinging.

The call dragon shout I also abuse so I take full advantage of that!^_^

To bad I have it on PS3!

I found something useful if you want your horse to swim faster just dismount it in the water and then remount your horse. It is a glitch where it makes your horse run through water no matter the depth!
