Artyom blinked and looked at her, "Umm....I'm from Lake Baikal in Russia...I like collecting stupid human souls and making them m immortal servants...And my favorite thing to eat is the kelp off the shore of San Francisco."

"Oh.That can't be healthy." Bellatrix laughed, watching Artyom with a look of amusement. "I've gone through Russia before. It was cold, and I had to go really fast. But I liked it." She hummed, finishing her chicken sandwich and brushing the crumbs off of her hands.

Artyom chuckled, "You must'be hit Siberia, yes? The west isn't so cold, but I like all of it. Helps to be a Vodyanoy, too."

"I have no idea where I was, but I know I probably wouldn't go back there." Bellatrix giggled, "I prefer warm places where they love breezes like me." She hummed, "In cold places they hate me." She shrugged and grabbed his arm, then hauled him away from the courtyard.

Artyom laughed at that last statement, "The fishermen hate and love my kind. We give them fish that want to die or did bad things, you know the deal. If they take too much or take without giving us vodyanoys a little something, we kill them. Their souls are our immortal servants and a status statement to our kind. End of story." He said happily, as if nothing was wrong with his species actions. Sure, ti wasn't good to over-fish, but eternal service was a bit too harsh a punishment.

Bellatrix laughed, "Well that's silly--fish commit crimes?" She asked curiously, looking at Artyom with pure curiosity. "What crimes can a fish possibly create?"

Artyom looked at Bellatrix, totally serious, "Usually cannibalism. Sometimes kidnapping, displacing their children, eating other fish's eggs or children...Yeah, a lot of cannibalism and eating." He explained.


((My tetra ate eachother...*sniffles* So I got more, and a Plecostomus, and a dinosaur eel (not a real eel)...AND DINO ATE THE OTHER FISH! *cries* He only ate their stomachs, too! He left their carcasses floating around and Pleco ate them!))

Bellatrix stared at Artyom for a good few minutes, speechless. Then, suddenly, she burst out into laughter, doubling over and holding her stomach. "Fish! FISH! How do FISH kidnap!?" Laughing was the only reaction she knew, but she didn't actually find it funny--she just didn't know how to react properly to that.

((*sniffles* My kitties killed the fish too...))

Artyom scowled and popped another sushi roll into his mouth. All sorts of animal species kidnapped children-fish did it for food or if their kids were killed/kidnapped, birds do it for children, even some mammals did it when they had too "little" children.

"I had some good friends who were kidnapped from their parents. Fish don't usually care, but I do." He snapped.

The seriousness of Artyom shut Bellatrix up very quickly. "Oh... sorry." She said, hanging her head in shame. "I just--I don't know how to react to that. I know a few naiads--you know, river nymphs? They'd probably understand better than I do. I could introduce you to some of them, if you want." She offered. For the most part, nymphs were very attractive girls born from gods and titans or other gods.
