Chapter 1

Prologue

All was silent except for the sound an owl’s hooting. A beautiful young she-cat sat on a large rock that was located in the middle of her camp.

She let out a sigh and glanced up at the night sky. Just as the happened a bright light flew across the sky, the she-cat let out a gasp, her fur bristling as a quiet voice spoke to her.
“The raven will arrive to the clans… followed by the mighty eagle… and the two can save the clans…”

The black she-cat stood slightly for a moment. Then a quiet snap of a twig broke her from her thoughts. She glanced back noticing a small white tom. She dipped her head slightly. The tom jumped up onto the rock with her.

The black she-cat looked back at the night sky… “Whitecloud.. I have received a prophecy..” The white tom glanced at her, his tail tip twitched. “Go on..” he blinked slightly as he looked at her. “I-I don’t know what it exactly meant but a voice spoke to me.. it said.. The raven will arrive to the clans… followed by the mighty eagle… and the two can save the clans…”

Whitecloud thought for a minute but his thoughts were interrupted by Froststar’s voice. “So do you know what it means?” She asked. Whitecloud shook his head. “I’m sorry, I don’t know what it means.. but as far as we know.. there will be danger.. a danger that’d threaten all clans…”

Froststar let out a sigh.. “Yes Whitecloud..” she watched the white tom jump of the rock and head back into the med cat den. She turned and looked back at the sky. What does it mean? She though, shaking her head slowly she leaped off the rock and went into her den.

Chapter 1

“Raven it’s time to get up!” called a voice. Raven let out a moan, and rolled onto her back, her paws in the air. A white and grey tom padded out from the shadow, his green eyes narrowed as he watched the black she-cat. “Eagle… let me sleep a little longer…”

She curled herself into a tight ball. Eagle padded over to her and poked her.. “Come on it’s time to leave!” Raven glanced up at Eagle and finally gave in. She sat up giving her pack a lick before swiping it over her ear. “Why do you have to be so bossy Eagle..” she complained.

Eagle rolled his eyes and padded out of the den, that they’d had slept in last night. Eagle’s white and grey pelt blowed in the wind. His green eyes scanned the clearing. Raven followed Eagle out of the den her fluffy tail brushed his flank as she past him.

Eagle followed Raven as they padded across the moor. Eagle tasted the air for any signs of prey or danger. Eagle tasted the air catching the scent of another cat. He opened his mouth to say something but was stopped by Raven’s flick of a tail. “Over there..” she spoke quietly, she glanced back at Eagle then turned and looked into the trees.

Eagle followed her gaze and soon noticed what she was looking at – a grey cat. Raven slowly padded towards the trees showing she was no threat to the grey cat. The grey she-cat’s eyes were focused on Raven and Eagle. Her fur bristling.

Raven stopped and dipped her head. “Hello my name is Raven and my friend back there is Eagle.. we were wondering if you knew any good hunting places.. we haven’t hunting since yesterday…” She glanced back at Eagle then back at the grey she-cat.
The grey she-cat fur was slowly lying flat on her back again. She sat down giving her chest fur a quick lick. “Hello, my name is Echo..” She glanced at Eagle. She flicked her tail over towards a barn. “In there.. there’s so many nice it’s not funny..” She grinned slightly.

Raven smiled. “Thank you Echo” she bounded away over towards the large barn, noticing a small gap in the wall she crawled through it, then it hit her the sweet scent of mice. She stalked forward noticing a mouse chewing on a piece of hay.

She pounced swiping the mouse with unsheathed claws, killing it instantly. She purr with delight, and took a bite, the mouse was warm and fresh and tasted so good. Raven caught two more mice and took them over to were Eagle was tearing up another mice.
Raven smiled, hunting here was great. “Never seen so many mice in my life..” She murmured as she swallowed some more mice. Eagle grunted in agreement.

Raven padded out of the barn to find Echo sitting close to the entrance. She smiled. “Thanks for showing us that barn.. never been so full in my life..” she let a purr. Echo dipped her head. “My pleasure.. it’s been so lonely around here lately..” She gave a weak smile.

Eagle emerged from the barn and sat down. “Raven how about we stay here for a while?” Raven glanced back at Eagle then at Echo. “Please stay.. I’m so lonely here!” Raven thought for a second. “Ok we’ll stay here.. for a while at least..”

Eagle smiled then padded away. “I’m going to find somewhere to have a nap..” Echo’s ears perked up. “I know the perfect place where you can have a nap!” She bounded after Eagle, they walked side by side. Echo just a little ahead as she showed Eagle the way.
Raven’s whiskers twitched with jealousy. She felt herself going hot at the thought of Eagle and Echo being together. She shook the thought out of her mind and bounded after the two.

Raven slowed down tasting the air, her ears perked as she heard the sound of rushing water. Raven approached a small stream, she bent down and lapped up the freezing cold water.

She tasted the air and she followed Eagle’s and Echo’s scent. She walked into a clearing to find both cats making a nest. Eagle flicked his tail towards a pile of moss. “We found that for you..” Raven nodded slightly and made her nest. By the time she had finished the other two had already gone to sleep in their nest.

Raven hopped into her nest and curled up into a ball, quickly drifting off to sleep.

Raven stood on the edge of a cliff the wind making her black pelt blow in the wind. She glanced next to her Eagle stood there his gaze fixed on her. Then a gush of wind flew at them, Raven dug her claws into the hard stone and closed her eyes tight.
When she opened them Eagle wasn’t next to her. Next to her stood a starry cat, her soft blue eyes focused on Raven. She then spoke “The Raven will arrive to the clans… followed by a mighty Eagle… and the two can save the clans.” Raven gasped. “What Clans!” she looked at the starry cat. “Tell me what you mean!” She pleaded.

“Raven.. Raven!” Raven was awoken from her nightmare by Echo. “You were yowling in your sleep Raven..” she paused for a second. “Is everything alright?” Raven nodded, and placed her head back on her paws. She thought about her dream for a moment. What does it mean? She thought, her eyes started drooping, and she soon fell asleep once again.
