Hubris

A black night ,only lit by a few brave stars, was undisturbed as a lone figure padded softly in the open. The lupines large form was only outlined by the imposing moon that shined like a menacing pale face as the ebony furred wolf stared on without even a blink. A shallow wispy breath could be seen on the cold night's wind as soft ember flames licked around his mouth and seemed to retreat to the creatures gullet. He was known by many names, Pride, Sin, Origin, all these titles held true to his being yet he only called himself by the simplest of terms. Hubris...he walked on steadily, head held high and large paws stepping confidently before him as he took another step towards his destination. The wolves, they were the last of the creatures who tread this miserable planet and his master had bade him to search them out. The ever present voice urged him on even though sometimes he wondered why he should follow it's orders. These thoughts were still very new to him but his purpose was clear and his knowledge of the other sins were carefully calculated in his mind while his eyes shone of fleeting embers that refused to die.
There ahead, a tall forest with pines that reached ever lasting to the sky. His ears pricked forward and he could hear the sound of life run abundant within it's sanctity. "So, the souls of the sinners are still thriving...how interesting." His voice was deep and held an old strength behind it as the trees before him appeared to recoil from his presence "Do not back down from me oh ancient of forest. Stand tall and face those who intrude upon your realm." Grinning he took a step as a sickly pale mist formed from nothing began to cling to his dark fur . Eyes ablaze with a wicked glint he tread forward effortlessly into this new place as he relished the presence of all sins.

Eden

Eden awoke from a disturbed sleep. Lifting her narrow head she looked up suddenly to see a flock of crows crying out anxiously as they fled the forest. She listened intently for a few moments, holding her breath as the woods somehow seemed heavy. When no sounds could be heard around her she grew suspicious, the soft pines were always alighted with sounds of birds or at least a passing wind but nothing stirred as she picked herself up. Shaking the debris from her copper fur, Eden gazed about as the rest of the pack still seemed to be in a peaceful slumber. Why were the woods so haunting all of a sudden? The place she was born in felt safe and had protected her all her life, now she felt like it was holding something very dire...something that wished to hurt them. An uneasy tug could be felt from her soul as she brushed it off do to nerves. She was a Sub-alpha, it was her responsibility to act for her pack and keep them safe but then why did her heart feel so laden? Finally giving herself a vigorous shake she padded towards a nearby stream to quench her morning thirst and to wash away whatever fears lingered around her. Eden was no fool, her instincts told her that something had changed but she had no idea as to what. The forest was no longer safe, the crows were always the first to know, and now even she could tell that their was unrest in their woods.

Abira followed the black wolf with an amount of steps. She knew him; During the fights the other sins would have. She was always in the middle, causing the fights. She was always picked on, and then she would fight back. Her small yelp echoed in her ears as she stepped on a thorn . It impaled itself into her black pad, and she stopped to rip it out. After the process of the thorn, she had lost sight of the Male. she still had his scent, And Abira followed it, shrinking into the woods as his voice made all things cower. She stepped beside him. "Hubris,is it?" She said in her voice. It was a voice of pure honey, which, in her being the sin lust, has its downfall of her being attractive. her orbs scanned the night. Abira let her tail fall, and her nose caught scents of others. she had thought she was the only one with a few others. Her voice carried out to the night. It was smooth, yet had a sharp edge to it.

Hubris

Hubris did not stop for the lustful sin that followed him. He had no interest in her as long as she did what she was made to do, "Cause disarray somewhere else Abria. You will find nothing to tempt here." He knew her sin well as it's alluring powers etched his soul and was born from the pride of individuals. "Do what the master has bid and I will have no need to correct you." Stopping for the first time on his never ending prowl, he bored ember hued eyes into hers as his gaze was unwavering "The creatures here only know of us as if we were but a tale. They will soon learn that all sins derive from them, we are just the unfortunate ones to burden such deeds." A wild grin alighted his face as his reflection echoed in the she-wolf's eyes. He held her gaze for a few moments then turned sharply to continue his endless trek. "The other sins must heed the masters call. I will make sure they do." His conversation finished he continued on as the trees groaned overhead and the air was heavy with the two sins presence. Thick fog laden the area with a siphoning feel. His expression held no emotion but his thoughts were constantly reeling, this new concept to "think" made his fidelity towards his pride question his purpose and being. But that did not stop him from his true purpose, his urge, his addiction, to cause others to suffer and carry out an order like a dutiful dog. Fur bristling at being cahined he banished such individual thoughts and regained his one set mind for the moment. To think was far too confusing as questions barraged his mind, he let instincts take over and continued on at his steady pace.

The Hellion dipped her white head. she followed her Brother sin, and looked beside her. they seemed to be going down to the dark and inviting forest, and she was tempted to go in. "I know I won't find any fools for me," she replied in her sharp yet milky tone. her eyes were Alert. "The master has spoken to you too?" her heart slowed down. She had been running the last day, and it needed a break. she had to watch who she talked to. Being a Sin has its prices. Abira had to Obey, sometimes Pride gained. He was a handsome wolf, but she had dreams to stir, lives to ruin. Because of her and desire, love wouldn't exist without terror.

Hubris showed little concern for her questions but answered in a deep resounding voice "Envy and I were released after you and the others. I hear his voice as clear as the day and his will can not be ignored, you would do well to heed them." His muscles tensed as he listened to the calls and his patience with Abira was running thin. Bunching up, he thrust himself forward at a sudden terrifying speed as he cast himself into the forest. The creatures of the planet were far too willing to allow sin into their hearts and like a disease it ate away without the help of the seven who embodied these sins. That did not mean the seven were not needed, those who carried this burden were here for one reason and he was the master's last to impose order to his creations. The seven were the solid manifestation of the worlds most deadliest of sins and all the more reason for concern. "They will be purged from this world for rejecting the gift our master brought unto them. Let them be forever bound to their sin and may it way their hearts like stones." He spoke softly as his voice carried an oath that held an eerie force behind it. The black wolf swept through the many pines like the wind of death as it stole the breath away from those who came too near.

Silence filled the air as a sable furred brute prowled about the rich pine forest. Not a single glimpse of life seemed to caught his eye as everything was hiding from the massive amounts of greed in his aura. Birds perched in the trees watching as the wolf trotted along, his long legs allowing him to cover great ground. As his paws touched the ground, all sound was muffled. Avarice was on a mission, one that would sooth his desire, his greed.
Avarice's gold hued eyes looked before him at the trees, who seemed to be parting just before his arrival. The forest ended at this point and lead off into a pale, field of dying grass. Paws stepping onto the change in terrain, Avarice lifted his snout into the air taking in a deep whiff of the surrounding air. The smell of grass, wet dirt and pine entered his nose. This didn't at all seem interesting. Not one to give up, he kept on walking forward and keeping his nose high to caught anything new that he came across. Just as everything seemed to be hopeless, something entered.
A devilish greedy grin edged its way onto his muzzle and he lowered his head, relaxing his neck muscles once again. "Well looks like I'll have some fun with not just one but two wolves." The brute said to himself. The scents of a male and hellion were what he had caught and he was sure to find them. Who knows this could be the starting foundation of a pack or just some roaming wolves looking for some trouble like him. Only one way to find out for sure and that was to find them at all costs.
