Wolf Story. Any Suggestions?????

Hello! My wonerful friend LishaCakes hhelped me decide to write a story based on a small clip I wrote earlier.(Below)

The wind rustled through my fur as I stood, poised on top of a pile of boulders. I had won. Fur hung off my right shoulder, bloody, but I had proved my place. My place as a dark wolf. I had killed many without regret. But I had to.... I had to kill my own sister in the battle. I let out one long solitary howl of regret, sorrow, pain, and loss. What a monster I had become.....

That's really cool! The only bit I don't like is the word "pileup". Maybe you could try to find a new word? Other than that: EPIC.
