Karter wandered away for awhile, but then was pushed into a room where there were other tributes he recognised. He heard a peacekeeper say to the guard "The train got held up from a bent track." "So am I in the wrong place for the greif counseling session? Whoops, I guess I'll just have to go home . . ." Karter lowered his head in fake shame and started walking to the door, but the guard stopped him, and went out of the door, closing it behind him. Karter noticed that everyone else was all dressed up, and wondered if they were actually all Capitol people.

[So lost. Where is he? Shouldn't Lyla be with him?]

My hands were quick, skillfully uprooting the weeds and wilted plants. My hands were quickly covered in dirt and I finally relaxed. Slightly.

Fleur struggled quite a few times on some weeds, but managed to uproot them after a couple minutes. She grabbed her sketchbook and sat back, beginning to draw.

I sat back on my heels, admiring our work. I glanced at Fleur. She couldn't be much older than me. I'm eleven. She's... thirteen, maybe?

Fleur continued to sketch, her strokes quick and smooth. She felt like she was being watched, but gave no thought about it.

Fleur looked up from her drawing to see Pali looking at her. She looked back down into her sketchbook, blushing slightly.

Karter looked at the TV screen on the wall "I really hate that everyone else seems better prepared than someone who only knows how to swing an axe" Karter said "I think this is our stop" He said as the train slowed down. "After you" he said when the train door opened. At least I know one person Karter thought.

She turned to see the other tributes. "Yeah," she agreed quietly. When she train stopped she walked to the door. "Thank you," she said thinking she might as well use her manners.
