Gwen shook her head. "The stables buys will do that." Gwen started walking. "Come with me."

Jake let the reins go, as someone took them from him, and sighed. I don't want to be here, he thought, but followed. Why did I get stuck with this?! Why her..?
As he watched her walk ahead of him though, he realized something. She needs a friend... Not just another servant...

Gwen walked into the house and went through it to the kitchen. "Zoey. Do we have any soup for Jake?" gwen asked getting a glass of water for him. She motioned to Jake to sit down.

Jake fixed her with an icy gaze, and did, sitting stiffly. He wrapped his hands around the glass, staring at the ice cubes.

Gwen brought the soup over to him. She slipped to one kneew and began washing Jakes lip. She got all the dirt and grime off then she went to work putting Healing balm on it. After she was done she put a cloth over it to keep it clean and dry.

Jake didn't even meet her eyes, staring down at his glass and bowl. When she was done, he slowly raised his eyes, and met hers. "Thank you," he said, softly and sincerely.

"You-Your Welcome." Gwen replied standing up and rinsing the bowl out. "After your finished I want you to rest in your bed." Gwen said turning to face Jake.

Jake didn't say anything for a moment, but finally gave a small nod, and stod, pushing his chair back, and sliding the water back. "As you wish," he said.
