Hey, I don't know where the help forum is so I'll just ask here and hope somebody can answer.
How do I know the rarity of my pets? All of my adults say that the rarity is unknown.
These ones:


And a few others. I think these are from the Chinese New Year group, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

The rarities of each month's pets have to be updated manually. Nick hasn't been on to do that. When he presses the button, the rarities will be known. It usually happens at the end of the month or the beginning of the next one.

I've been a bit lost for a while when it comes to trading, so I figured I'd ask here.

To make a trading thread, I have gathered that it's simply a matter of posting a topic like "I'm looking for so and so creatures, send me trades!" Is it also acceptable to say something like "I want to trade specific x creature for specific y creature?"

How quickly do older creatures go up in value? If I wanted to, say, trade 2012 Chinese New Year pets for Medieval faire pets, would it be one to one or not? What about trading a January 2011 pet for a January 2010 pet, if they were both the same "rarity" - ie both commons or uncommons?

How do people keep finding me to trade? I've been getting a lot of trade offers that I have no interest in. Do people just search for a creature they want and find someone at random who has it, or is this a case of "try to take advantage of the newbie?"

Yep, both are totally acceptable. More information is always nice for the person who will send you trade, so a general list of 'wants' is nice, but not necessary.

It really depends on the pet. Dogs are going to be worth more and gather worth faster than rats. But if one of the dogs is in demand, it will be worth more than the rest of the litter. It depends on a lot of factors. Dates matter as much as rarities, so a 2010 pet will almost always be worth more than a year younger pet if the rarities are the same. For CNY pets to Medieval faire pets, it probably wouldn't be a one to one trade. It would be more like 2 for 1. Most members follow the 'three month rule'. If the pets are within three months of each other and the same rarity, it is a fair swap.

If you go to the Forum, at the bottom, there is a list of everyone online. People click random names to find people to trade with. It isn't possible to search for a pet. It has been asked for and shot down because people would be pestered with hundreds of bad trades for valuable pets and it would strain the server. Some people may be trying to take advantage of you, sadly. I doubt all of them are though. Even I still get bad trades, and I'm not a new user. xD

Are you using a translator? I think I understand though. It is possible to be hacked if your password is easy to guess or if you stay logged in on a computer other people have access to.

If I adopt the limit of a pet, then trade them away, can I adopt more of that same pet or not? Is the limit for the number of adoptions total, or just the number you have in your possession?

No, once you trade it away, you cannot adopt another if you previously adopted the full limit. The limit is just how many of that certain newborn you can get. Though if you trade one away or don't have one of the outcomes, you can trade someone else for it.
