||Stream Of Small Fish||


Stream looked up at the majestic bird, squinting, and noticing that it was coming lower, its calls sharper and more fearful. The silver and black-striped she-cat blinked and backed away slowly. She gulped and meowed, her voice strangely hoarse, "So any tactics or ideas on how we can kill it?" Stream hated the stutter in her voice and she snuck a glance at Leaf and Storm before looking up again. Her striking blue eyes looked a bit nervous and she tensed her back leg muscles just in case it suddenly swooped down. Stream looked at her other fellow prey-hunter, Star, searching for any sign of fear. Anything to indicate that whatever she was feeling, she wasn't alone with it.

Storm looked at Stream as she asked how to take it down. "You're the prey hunter," he murmured but it was said quietly enough that only he heard it. Otherwise, it was like a mumble to the others. He looked up at the eagle as it slowly circled down, silent and deadly. He looked to Star, hoping she wasn't as afraid as Stream was of the eagle.

Star heard the shakiness in her fellow Prey-hunter's voice. She looked to Stream and gave a reassuring lick on her head. "Don't worry, I was taught how to catch these when I was a To-Be. I'll show you how it's done," she meowed. She lookd back at the eagle as it swooped lower and lower. She waited patiently and finally, the eagle struck. It took the mouse but before it could fly up, Star had leaped. She had lept onto the eagle's back and it screeched, dropping the now dead mouse. As it tried to fly into the air, Star bit into its neck and the pair fell from the small height to the ground, the eagle in her claws and in her jaw. She picked up the eagle and placed it before the two Cave-Guards, To-Be, and her fellow Prey-Hunter. "And that is how you get two meals by just getting one," she meowed as she dropped the dead eagle and gathered the mouse.

Lily that Blooms at Dawn

Lily held her head high, a sparkle in her shining blue eyes as she gazed over the territory from the cave, her silver and white fur ruffled by the breeze. A small smile crossed her face, as the mist from the waterfall washed over her, dusting her silver fur with water droplets, her coat illuminating in the sunlight.

Stream glared pointedly at Storm before shooting Star a grateful look. Stream watched as the eagle flew downward and went for a mouse. She watched tensely as Star struck it down and nodded approvingly at her position and her claw technique. However, she grimaced as the eagle's sharp talons cut into the side of her body. It wasn't a deep cut but it stung heavily, as it also went unnoticed by her tribemates. Stream saw her other prey-hunter kill it and she sighed, giving her an admiring look. She licked her wound, some scarlet blood matting at her silver fur.
