I sat beside her, looking out at the city.

:Elly:

I sighed softly. "It's kind of weird; I've spent most of my life up in this tree."

[Aven]

"I don't doubt you...it's amazing up here."

:Elly:

I smiled a little. "You know, if you listen hard enough, I swear nature talks. It sounds crazy, but it's true."

[Aven]

I grinned.

:Elly:

"I feel like Pochahontas," I said with a chuckle.

[Aven]

That made me laugh. "That was funny," I grinned.

:Elly:

I grinned and rested my head on his shoulder. "I'm glad, laughing is good."

[Aven]

I would've leaned back, but we'd both topple to the ground. So instead I just closed my eyes and sighed lightly.

:Elly:

I smiled as he sighed. "Listen," I whispered, then stayed silent. For a moment, there was nothing. Then you could hear the soft rustle of leaves, a few crickets chirping, the soft flow of water as it trickled through a stream.
