Today marks one year since I joined CS! I have made friends, and learned a lot. I want to thank Chicken Smoothie for all the things I've done through you:
It was through Oekaki, that I kept working and improved my art dramatically. And through the community here that I grew in confidence and daring to do what I do best.
It was also through art and support, that I created my wonderful, fun loving fursona, Nickel. I've had a lot of fun expressing myself through her.
Also through CS, I've learned the importance of understanding business. And I've experienced the satisfaction of a trade well done. And the joy of giving and receiving gifts!
I've had a lot of fun dressing up and naming my pets. In fact, I try to name every single one (even the trade groups!) Last month, I was off CS for a While, and I've only just started to catch up on the naming.
There are so many considerate folks out there, I've received the best advice in The "Is this Trade Fair?" Thread. As well as free pets from generous users.
My birthday is also coming up, on Feb 9th, yay!
Thank you CS and people of CS, you are all wonderful!
Now, about this Oekaki:
I've put just about all my Oekaki's flying in the background (Ref of paper). The biggest ones are those that mean the most to me. The first one in the upper left corner is actually a color-in, but it is my first Oekaki ever, and my first post ever! So it gets a special spot. Others you may notice is my first on my own Oekaki "I draw a bee" (lol terrible grammar I know, but I was really excited about it). Under that you see "My Fursona, Nickel" Where I first made a reference page for my new fursona. Just below that is my drawing celebrating my 50th Oekaki, which also features past drawings. Others you see are "Make a Wish" and "Flight". These were my first features! Both at the same time! The next big one is my super popular (And also featured, Squee!) "The Three Dragonlings". Then comes "Depth Dragon", "Night Magic" and "Serpent's Flight". And many more, I was surprised I was able to fit so many!
I actually finished this in two days, in two sessions on January 7th and 8th. The third session was only for posting. Also, take an hour off the timer and you've got the right time.
Also floating in the clouds are four of my most treasured pets.
Scribble ----------------------------------------- Prawn
Lonán --------------------------------------------- Liang
Scribble is my first ever pet, given to me by my friend BoxLlama, who also introduced me to CS. Hugging Scribble is Prawn, whom I fell in love with the moment I laid eyes on. I traded for him after Halloween. He's the cutest rat ever, and the first ever PPS rat. Thank you to whoever drew him! Flying through the clouds is Lonán - my beautiful Raven Dog. I traded for her in a multi-pet trade, and she went straight into my favorites. She's so cool, so graceful and majestic. Last is Liang. My ultimate dreamie. Yes, I know I already have her, but just because I get her doesn't mean she's no longer my dreamie. C'mon, why should it? Anyway, Liang-I was gifted to me after I posted her on minor (as in not so rare) dreamie center. Then a few months later, I adopted the same pet from the pound. So I returned Liang-I to the center, and now this Liang took her place in my favorites group.
These are the pets I would never trade for anything, I don’t really care if you offer me a zebra or whatever, these ones will stay with me as long as I’m on CS.
Alright, I’m sure you’ve heard enough by now. I hope I can continue to be a part of CS for years to come.
