"Not exactly fair now are they?" Ryu commented when he spotted Damian and the others eating food already. He could tell that they had just gotten there but he couldn't help but add a bit of humor. With the slight urge to fly a bit faster towards the scent of food, Ryu huffed and landed a bit roughly into one of the trees near the flock. Damian grabbed a thin box and scrambled away from the branch to eat elsewhere when Akari and Ryu arrived. He seemed a bit guilty but Ryu rolled his eyes and glided closer towards the lonely pizza bag and settled the clothes he gathered on the branch beside him before sitting down.

Damian blinked when he heard the beating of two sets of wings and he realized that Ryu and Akari have returned, clothes in hand, but Damian was more worried for Akari's expression. She too looked hungry and he swiftly grabbed his box before gliding to a different branch, there was enough for eveyrone to have a box to themselves and Damian felt selfish at the moment. He couldn't really blame anyone who wanted to keep food to themselves, it's been forever since they could do so without having people watch over them taking notes.
"Yeah, that's pretty much it. Seeing the stupid look on all of their faces were well worth it, especially the firemen when they didn't find a fire." Damian had his snarky smirk on his face again and practically ate half the box in under a minute or two. "So how did your little adventure go?" Damian asked and turned his attention towards Akari and Ryu. They both had clothes with them but he wasn't exactly worried about that at the current moment.

Serria made a face when Jay snatched from her pizza box but she too smiled after he did and she couldn't help but laugh a little. She glanced over and Akri and Ryu and wondered what kind of things they got for them. She hoped Akari found a few things she could wear, the t-shirt she was wearing now was beginning to get dirty and she hated it since it was from the school. She shuffled her wings a little and swung her legs as she bit into another slice of pizza, savoring the flavor and happy that she was no longer hungry. They could actually eat until they were full, none of this limited meal sets that taste like cardboard or tv dinners.

Akari only smiled at Ryu's reply, not saying a thing while she soared down to land, keeping the weight off her ankle as she did so. Adding her clothes to the pile that Ryu had created, choosing to land next to him, taking a box from the top of the pile. It had a sticker on the cardboard that proclaimed Pepperoni, grateful for the meat almost as much as Nudge. Opening the steaming box, a blast of heat hit her in the face as she picked out a slice, a mixture of white and yellow cheese stringing from the box. Licking her lips she took a bite, wincing from the burn at the top of her mouth as she did so.
Laughing at Damian's quick get away, she watched as he settled down and asked them the question the rest of them were eager to hear the answer to.
"Well, besides the fact that I screwed up my ankle from dodging some crazy large rats on steroids, we'll be clothed for a week or so."

Naomi watched as Akari and Ryu approached, watching as Damian scurried away with the box of pizza she had been eating out of. Scowling at him and sticking out her tongue, she reached up and snatched the bag away after Akari grabbed her own box, taking out another fresh box. To make matters worse, her Coke was knocked aside from the box, the can plummeting to the ground until it finally exploded on the grass. Giving a defeated sigh, she took another one from the abandoned case in front of her, listening to the reply of Akari intently. Noting that she was keeping the weight off her ankle, it all came together.

Jason smiled as Serria did, happy that he could entertain her. When Akari landed up above him, he soared up, landing on the branch and flipping through the clothes, grinning at the sight of a shirt with an angry red bird on it. Not quite understanding what it was for, he was happy with it anyways, going back down to his abandoned pizza while still clutching the shirt tight in his fist. Now, he was happy. They had food, clothes, and a place to live. It was almost like they were normal again.

(( Okay, where I am, it is flipping cold outside but it is refusing to snow! I'm serious. It got extremely cold last night, but all it did was storm. Storm! Of course, that rain is amazingly lucky because it didn't freeze to death like I swore I almost did. Hurrumph. *mutters under breath* ))

Ryu kept himself from chuckling as Akari explained how she sprained her ankle. He knew she wouldn't of done it because of a rat but he remained quiet and allowed the girl to keep what dignity she had left from that ally. He ate silently until his hunger was content and savored every bite he took. It was strange having the feeling of being full, it's been a long while since he had that feeling and it was nice. No longer on the brink of starving and no longer having your meals controlled by others taking notes.
Ryu slid the thin box back into the bag before grabbing a soda can and then leaned back into the truck of the tree he was in. He didn't mind Akari being near, just as long as she didn't bug him like Damian would. He easily opened the can and took a sip, making a slight face at the burst of flavor in his mouth. It was new but in a good way.

Damian smirked at Naomi's when she made a face at him and he didn't hesitate to finish off what the girl started. He wasn't very picky when it came to food, he'll eat anything. It was always better than nothing at all. Back at the School he hardly ate anything they offered him, showing definace against them.
"Now all my hopes rests on Ryu for I hope that he has some taste in clothes for me to wear.." Damian commented a bit dramatically and eyed the pile of clothes before looking at Ryu. The guy didn't respond and Damian shrugged, not really getting into the mood in picking on him. He was too hungry to do that at the moment.
"Food? Done. Clothes? Covered. Place to stay? Also covered. What are we gonna do next, Chief?" Damian asked and glanced at Akari. He shuffled his rusty-red wings a little before leaning his shoulder up against the tree, sipping his soda now after tossing away his empty pizza box.

Serria watched as Jay scarmbled for the pile of clothes and she giggled to herself to see him bring back a shirt clutched in his hand. She couldn't really blame himm aside from the fact that they actually ate something the school would never give them, they never really had anything to own either which was a good feeling as well. She ate another piece of the pizza before closing the box and pushing it away from her before crossing her legs and listening to the flock converse. She never heard them talk all that much before and it was nice hearing them all at once, fussing or talking just to hear themselves.
"Figure out where we're at, I guess?" Serria asked when Damian questioned on what to do next. "I hope we're in some nice city, a city that's esay to reconize on a map or something." She shrugged and figured she would speak her mind.

Akari laughed at Ryu's expression after taking a sip of the soda, glancing down at her soda, unsure if she should take a drink or not. About to, she was grateful for the interuption from Damian, setting down her Coke and leaning back against the tree.
"Well, I guess we should go ahead and head to the new house. Serria, do you think you can lead us?"
Glancing over at the blonde-headed girl, she wondered what the house looked like. They said it looked nice, but did they mean nice as in neat, or nice as in the best run-down house on the block? Not that it mattered, but she did not want to meet anymore rats. She had met enough already.
"And, I know it's probably downtown in the city, but I'd like to walk the sidewalks and see what we can find around this place. For one, there is going to be more people out by now and I don't want them snapping pictures of six bird kids, and secondly, I want to see some escape places, more hide-outs and places where we can get more food."
It wasn't her best idea yet, but her reasons were pretty solid.

Naomi also looked over at the pile of clothes once Damian mentioned it, curious as to what had been picked out for her to wear. For one, she didn't want anything dull and boring. She wanted something that said, "Nudge." Well, she didn't want it to actually say Nudge, but she wanted it to proclaim her attitude.
Yeah, that sounds better.
Rolling off the thoughts, she listened to Akari, standing up and stretching out her wings for another flight. When Akari said they were going to walk through town, the first thing that popped into her mind was malls and shopping. Okay, maybe she was a bit of a girly-girl at times, but what girl didn't need a shopping spree every now and again?
Shaking off loose feathers, she picked one of the black wings off her shirt, letting it go and watching it fly with the breeze, landing near her exploded Coke.
"Well then, what are we waiting for?" Her voice was eager, and she was ready to get a move on to the mal- or, house.

Listening intently to the directions, Jason was a bit frightened at the thought of walking through the city. It was full of people he didn't know, and any of them could be Erasers. Sighing, he stood up as well, taking a final drink from his Coke before crushing it between his hands and tossing it into an empty pizza box, figuring that he could at least save the trees if he didn't save himself.
Yeah. Save the trees. Awesome.

(( No problem, I was the same. I had to keep up with my job on two different threads, and then I was doing all this adoptable stuff.. Yeah. Just kind of got off track. ))

Ryu eyed Damian as the boy strolled passed him on the branch but he paid no mind to him as he began to look through the pile of clothes. The thought of Akari picking out that shirt brought humor to him but he kept quiet and decided to keep that to himself. When Serria and Damian glided down, Ryu sighed and shuffled his jet-black wings before standing to his own full height.

Damian shrugged and finsihed off his soda before crushing the can and tossing it aside to watch it fall down before standing to open up his red wings a bit. "Guess you're right about the walking part, there's gonna be more people out so it'll probably confuse the hell outta of the Eraser's if they're tracking us at all." He said with a roll of his shoulders and then his gaze flickered over towards the pile of clothes not too far from him. He hopped over to the same limb Ryu was on and he strolled over to pluck a red and black designed hoodie. He looked it over before gliding down towards the ground and tucking in his wings to try it on. His wings felt a bit awkward since there was no slits in the back of the jacket for his wings to fit through but he figured it was necessary to deal with it. They didn't want to ruin their new clothes and get caught the next hour or so.
"Let's just hope it's not much of a walk.." Damian muttered and then rolled his shoulders a bit as he glanced up at the flock. It reminded him how birds stuck together when they perched in trees. When one came down on the gorund, the others followed shortly after.

Serria kept her soda can in hand as she glanced at Nudge and Akari. "Yeah, I can lead y'all. It's not that far so I'm sure our lazy Damian will make it in one piece." She commented and Damian rolled his eyes as he kicked up some dust below his feet while on the ground. Is wings practically disappeared thanks to the hoodie he was wearing.
"While we're on our way there, think we need to find a couple backpacks for us to carry ourselves? People will probably think we're hobos or homeless kids or something." Serria said and didn't really care who answered, she was just speaking her mind. But it struck her a few seconds later, they were already homeless kids but they were also on the run from a secret agency.

(My posts may be a bit slow for a little while thanks to school ^^' Just so ya know)

Gathering up the rest of the pizza and Coke, she shoved it all into the empty pizza bag, throwing the other bag out into the wind, probably landing a couple hundred feet away. As she gathered her belongings and leaped down from the tree, she slipped on her hoodie, putting the hood up over her red hair in case there just happened to be any Erasers.

Naomi stood up, relaxing her wings and pinning them to her back, slipping on a coat that Akari had picked out as well, also leaping from the tree branches after her, beginning to walk in the direction of the town. If anything, they needed to get there soon before people began to drive by them. Last thing they needed were some nosy cops questioning where their parents were.
"I'm sorry officer, but we are test tube born babies, where they took our eggs and injected us with little bird DNA. See, that's why we have these wings on our back. If you'd like to go the the dump in town to try to find our tubes, you can go ahead and do so."
Rolling her eyes at the thoughts that only she could hear, she made sure her pace was even as she walked, slowly gaining speed towards the city.
