-Oh, no-
-I'm not trying to direct it at hunters at all-
-I would say killing a rabbit or deer is just as gross-
-Probably because i get quesy around things of that nature, some blood and a motionless body would just creep me out-
-Sorry if i spelled that wrong most people dont go around saying quesy xD-

-I cant see why anyone would have a dream such as hunting wolves but i suppose we all have our own reasons-
-Not to be off topic, but some choose to smoke as well-
-I hate it. I wouldnt consider wolf hunting as bad as smoking on any level but still-
-its not a life hazard to you as smoking would be, but its of course a hazard to the wolf you wish to kill xD-

- And cerulean thats understandable, most people who are either nuetral sided or for hunting wolves do enjoy hunting as a hooby-
-I personally dont think of that as a hobby, i do triathalons and others fun summer sports, mine dont wander into the forest-
|-There is truly no blood and gore to it, i've been told but still

-Also would say this type of polite debating is most certainly allowed-
-Theres no true tension growing, and it does answer some questions maybe a couple people have poundered-
-Plus it helps me, i'm forced to debate in class, so its good practice :D-

On topc: I agree with yout whole post.

@Boo;;
I see.
I can imagine people thinking of it as 'gross', I'm just a violent person, so it doesn't really bother me, xD

And yes, debates keep things going.
If this was just a save the wolves club, this thing would be dead by now.
There's no use in having a club where every one agrees and shooting down those who don't, the conversations would just keep repeating and eventually, this thread would hold no interest.
I understand why people wouldn't like, or want to hunt, but as of now, I don't see all wolves in need of 'saving'.

-It's like if wolves came around, smashing our houses and shooting us and making us into rugs-
-Sure the shooting is painless but its still just an injustice-

The thing is, wolves are not sentient creatures.
They don't care much for anything but surviving and reproducing.
They don't feel emotions like we do.
They may feel 'love', but only to an extent. They do grieve, but not as much as humans.
They do not know right from wrong, like we humans do.
And the thing about the last sentence is we don't do that.
We only kill lesser life forms, killing each other is illegal and considdered murder.
Wolves do not think that way, they kill each other all the time, they can't feel empathy. Humans can. You said you don't want to kill other animals because you pity them? Well, wolves don't think like that. They see a prey animal, and first chance they get, they kill it. Wether they will eat it or not, or need it or not. Most people say this is fine because it's 'natural' for wolves to do that [kill]. But, in truth, humans are a part of nature, so by saying that, you are saying humans are fine to hunt, there for proving your opinion wrong yourself.
If a lone wolf is on a pack's territory and threatening breeding rights, it will be killed.
Humans don't fight and kill for 'breeding rights' as animals do, becasue we have more to life than surviving and reproducing.
And this is where people jump to conclusions.
No, just because wolves are not quite as 'equal' to us and do not have the same emotions does not mean we should inhumanely kill them, that's why they are killed humanely.

And bringing up human over population is just a dead end conversation.
What about insects?
I can tell you there are far more of those than humans.

Just a few questions Van. Do you have dogs? Do you see how they form bonds with one another and with you? Do you see that bonds and friendships is more then just reproducing and surviving? Do you think that they just associate people with food or actually have bonds? Have you heard of the many times people have been saved by their dogs, not because of food because of bonds and friendships? Do you think that dogs just got that out of no where and wolves don't have bonds? Do you have any proof that wolves don't have bonds or friendships?

-sorry, got side-tracked-
They do love to an extent, as I've said.
And yes, they do have bonds. But normally only with those that they know.
They learn most of what they know from mistakes, or just learn.
If you feed an animal and are kind to it, it will learn to like you, and maybe form a bond with you.
But if you don't get to know a wolf, it will, definately, attack you.
Do humans attack those they don't know? Of course not. You don't attack every one when you go shopping, even though you don't know them.
To answer your questions individually:
-My dog died a few years ago, cancer.
-And not all animals form bonds with you specifically. I'm sure if I went into the wilderness, wolves would attack me.
-They DO associate people with food and protection. They would never have a bond with you if it weren't for the food and protection. Wolves are a perfect example of this. If you feed and protect one, it would like you.
-Dogs save people. Because they were trained to. This is a wolf thread though, wolves don't save people, they weren't trained to. ^^
-Wolves have bonds, but with each other. Like I said, they can't feel empathy. You, me, and most people on this thread love wolves. Wolves don't love any other animal, they can't, because they only see them as prey. /probably bad explanation
-And yes, proof is every where, if you trust research. If you dont, then I have a question for you: Is there proof that they do? No, there really is never proof for some people. No one on CS is a dog or a wolf, so I guess we'll never know.

I'm on my iPod now so my posts will be slowed a bit
Its true, a wolf might attack you. Only because you are in there home, most peoples first instinct when they see a wolf is to run or shoot. Now that doesn't give a wolf much of a chance to prove itself now does it. You wouldn't allow some stranger to walk into your home would you? Wolves don't like it either
They kill to live, its not for game. If the could go outside, have a bowl if cereal or plant a strawberry patch I bet they would.
Yes, it is indeed illegal to kill humans, maybe wolves deem it illegal to kill them, maybe rabbits do too. Most humans don't know that, nor care.
Wolves can love, rgerd brains aren't tgw size of a bread crumbs. They make a living for themselves by eating what they can and finding homes. They kill or injure each other because they walk on one another's territory.
Think of the lone wolf as a robber if you will. Its like someone walking into your home, either demanding you give them your house, or just passing through to take food from you. Neither of those sound pleasing and any human wouldn't allow it, nor do wolves.
