(No idea. XD)
Tessa shook her head, chuckling once more. "No. I rather enjoy watching you squirm like the vermin you are." She whispered, using her free hand to pull out her knife. She held it above Sonja's head, twisting it so it shimmered in the light. Slowly, she dug it into the navigator's arm, eyes on her face.

Sonja sucked in a sharp breath when the gunner sank the knife into her arm, but the heavy, pulsing throb in her head left almost no room for more pain elsewhere. Sonja saw her arm bleed, but it almost didn't hurt, and it certainly made her angry. Jerking forwards, she opened her mouth as wide as she could and sank her teeth into Tessa-Rose's arm. She bit down hard, tasted blood, and wondered whose it was. Her blond hair stuck to the side of her face and the back of her neck, and she could hardly see, but this was some small revenge and she enjoyed it immensely.

Tessa growled in pain as she felt teeth clap down on her arm and moved the dagger, holding it against the soft flesh of Soja's neck. She pressed the blade down, and used her side to push the women away from her. "Get off, you deck-ape!" She hissed under her breath, digging the blade into Sona's neck again.

"Navigator!" gasped Sonja, feeling the blade cut into the skin of her neck. "There's a difference!" Not that it mattered now, of course. It seemed that the gunner had misjudged; what with the crack in her skull and the slice down her arm, Sonja had lost far too much blood to stay conscious much longer. The only thing keeping her awake and breathing right now was the adrenaline pulsing through her veins. Once all of that had bled out, she would be finished. Unconscious, at first, and then dead. She could feel it, feeling the blackness over her vision closing in, penetrating her very mind. Things started to go fuzzy, but she could still see a glimmer of daylight. The sky was so blue. So clear. Why hadn't she looked at the sky more often?

"Not with you, vermin." She hissed, watching the blood. She removed the blade from the navigator's throat, whipped the blood off on the grass, and smiled. It wasn't a nice smile, but one filled with dak glee. She had done it. Now all she needed to do was make it look like Sonja had attacked her first.
Laughing quietly to herself, she held out her wrist, letting the pistol drop to the floor besides Sonja and drew the blade across her own skin, watching as rivers of scarlet fell from the wound, winding down her arm and dripping onto the floor. Drip. Drip. Drip.
She repeated the action on her legs, her stomach, even on her shoulder, feeling the blood flow increase. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip.

"Wrong," laughed Sonja, her voice gurgling in her cut throat. "I see... what you're trying to do." She chuckled, but it turned into a cough that died away as she choked for breath. Her eyes bulged and the skin around her neck tinged slowly blue. It won't work! screamed the only voice she had left, the one that hid in the back of her mind. Ingo knows. Ingo knows the only blades I fight with are my swords. I don't own a dagger. You can't have a knife-fight with just one knife. Sonja smiled slightly, her teeth stained with blood, and then she slumped forwards into the dirt. Her eyes remained open and a trickle of blood ran from the corner of her mouth to the ground. She was no longer breathing; her pulse would stop in just a moment. Then her consciousness would fade into nothing, leaving an empty body in its wake. The sky was so vast and blue, like an overturned ocean, heedless of the creatures below it. Sonja Wende, navigator for the Maiden, was dead.

Tessa giggled at the lifeless form of the navigator and left one last wound in her side before struggling to her feet. Now that she was standing, pain washed over her and tears fell once more, mingling and mixing with the scarlet that stained her body. She struggled towards the back door and stumbled into the room, collaspsing in the doorway. She just had to hope that they saw her.

Melody heard a thud on the doorstep and jumped to her feet, knowing a bad, bad sound when she heard one. The farmer, Gannet, was already at the door and Melody heard a yelp from him that didn't sound like it should be uttered by a human. She was across the room and next to him in a flash, and she gasped when she saw the state that Tessa-Rose was in. "What did you do to yourself?" she whispered, crouching down and tugging the knife from the gunner's hand. From behind her she heard an exclamation of, "What the hell is going on in here?" as Liam made his way in. "By all the gods-" the blacksmith muttered. "Rodney! Where are you, boy? Run into town and fetch Betty from the infirmary."

Tessa opened her eyes and tried to push herself up, which only resulted in failure. Clenching her jaw at the pain, the gunner just turned her head to the side and rested her cheek on the cool floor. "Sonja..... She stole my knife...." She whispered, and took a breath before continuing. "Fight.... Stole it back..... Dead." She continued befor closing her eyes once more, hoping that they believed what she had said. They needed to believe it.

"The hell would she steal your knife for? Everyone knows that Sonja's a revered swordswoman," said Liam, but it became apparent that no response was forthcoming. With a grunt, he scooped Tessa-Rose up and held her as gently as he could. "Gannet," he said, swinging around to face the young farmer. "Hitch up that wagon we rode on yesterday. We need to get to town as fast as possible." Seeing as Liam was nearly two hands taller than himself, Gannet rushed to do as he was bid. "Melody," said Liam, turning to the petite woman after laying the gunner down gently in the back of the wagon, "Stay here with Emerald and Ingo. If Tessa-Rose is beat up this badly, Sonja will probably be alright; find her just in case." Melody nodded, then watched as Gannet and Liam drove off in the wagon towards town. She hardly wanted to go out searching the fields, but... She flipped Tessa-Rose's knife absently in her hand, thinking hard. Something was wrong here, very wrong. She could feel it. It made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end.
