Gus used more energy into his attack, trying to push past the hyper beam with his attack.

Mightyena tried putting more energy in the hyper beam, but he couldn't really. " Come on Mightyena! You can do it! " Shadow said. Hearing his trainers words, He tried again, but still couldn't.

Phoebe frowned at the lack of 'OOMPH!' in Mightyena's Hyper Beam, but was pretty impressed it could fire one up at all. Or, at least, she looked impressed. "Come on, Mightyena..!" She ushered him on though keeping her voice to a minimum, her hands curled up and shaking up and down a little.

Gus forced the Shadowball towards Mightyena with more force, A bead of sweat trialed down his forehead in focus.

Seeing the Shadow ball come towards him, He tried to put more energy. He was getting tired and he knew the Shadow ball was going to hit him. Shadow watched his Pokemon and still have faith in his Pokemon. Mightyena wouldn't quit so he still tried, this time putting a little more energy in the hyper beam.

Gus felt a burst of power run through his veins and sent the shadowball towards the Mightyena at breakneck speed.

Mightyena couldn't stop the attack from hitting him seeing how fast it was going. It hit him sending him backwards hitting the ground and then skidding on the ground. " Mightyena! " Shadow said, as he ran over to him. Mightyena was a tough Pokemon so he got right back up winceing in pain from the attack.

Gus exhaled, relieved from the pressure the energy was putting on him. "Return," Astrid said calmly as Gus scrambled back towards her and sat. She knew that it was a pretty equal match between Gus and Mightyena. "Damion, attack," she said, holding out a Pokeball. Damion materialized, looking aggressive. The shiny Charizard locked its eyes on its opponent.

Shadow watched her and looked down at Mightyena after he saw her bring out Damion from the Pokeball. " Ready? " He asked his Pokemon. " Mightyena! " It said stepping forward looking at Charizard.

"Char...." Damion growled in his low, booming voice. "Flare Blitz." Astrid spoke. Damion's body sparked and was soon surrounded by hot, flaming embers. He lunged at Mightyena.
