Sisi raised her hand in a mock salute. Since she was carrying a long range weapon she rarey actually went with the others and got in close. Instead she chose a spot and provided support. Looking around she spotted a tree that provided a good vantage point of the surrounding area. Getting a running start she jumped up, grabbed the low hanging branch and swung herself up. Carefully she pulled her pack off her back and opened it up to reveal a gleaming black sniper rifle. Snapping the parts together she rested the barrel on on a branch and started to survay the ground. She was pleased to find that from up here she even could see into some of the buildings. It did help however that a good deal of the windows were either smashed or missing.

Re was careful not to attract any attention of Words. Her blue eyes searched the area, she stepped over another dead Word, something had happened here. She investigated the scene and found a few shells from a gun. She picked one up and examined it, it had a gold covering and a silver inside. She looked at it, the first few letters made her remember something from when she was little. Sylvester smiled as he handed the young Re a shell from his gun, it had the gun label on it, its gold covering reflected the glow of the sudden light of her father's flashlight. She hugged her twin brother and nuzzled her nose into his furry coat. Re shook her head, her brother couldn't be alive, even if his gun shells were here.

History:
"I was born to a half-dead family with poor living conditions. When I turned two I was adopted by a rich old couple who died when I was twelve, leaving me with over eight million dollars in inheritance. The people who took me in next were middle-class and wanted my money, so I ran away. The day I turned seventeen I went and got a job, a house, a car, and a dog. My dog died just days later when I hit it with my truck. From there my life was pretty normal, well, not really. The day I met my boss my normal life ended, and my new life began. Turns out I worked at some sort of lab where I was one of the subjects. They told me I was the last person to be turned into a mutant, but who knows. Once Imgot out of there I met my new family. Actually I fought back at first, but when I was hopeless, I was hopeless. I gave up and joined the party."

Farah began walking the perimeter of the office building, checking for signs of life. Most everything had been burned to a crisp. She didn't expect to find any Words alive in the mess. She ducked inside the building. She knew she couldn't stay long. The building could come down any minutes. She shuddered and pushed away memories of fire and being crushed under rubble. She shook her head and shoulders, chasing away chills, and continued on.
She cupped a hand to her mouth an mimicked a Word howl. She listened for any responses but heard nothing. She howled again and nothing answered. She released a relieved breath and scampered out of the burned out building.
"I don't think there's anything alive in there," she said, walking back over to the team, "But keep an eye out."
She noticed Re looking at a dead Word,
"Whatcha got?" she asked. She kneeled by the Word, examining it. It's body and wings were burnt in places, but it had not died from fire. There were several gunshot wounds in it. The wounds were fairly fresh, so it was unlikely this was a wounded Word they'd encountered yesterday.
"Odd," she murmured.
She stood up and looked at everyone.
"I think, based on the evidence, it's safe to say this pack won't be a problem for a while," she said. She smiled slightly. Always good when a mission succeeded.

She poked suspiciously at the Word, "Who killed all these Words, there is a few shells and bomb fragments laying around. Someone must have some sort of weapon around." She laid the shell back down and looked around for any evidence that the person was around. She felt the ground for any heat, she sighed when she only felt the warmth of the Word's body, "The person is gone, he or she must of evacuated before throwing the bomb.

"Aww that's no fun." Sisi said sarcastically, in all reality she was glad that everything was all clear here. They need all their strength to deal with the next mission from what she had found. Quickly snapping the rifle apart she stored it safely away in its case. Jumping down she looked around one last time, it looked pretty grotesque with all the Word bodies lying around. "We should head out it is a good walk to the city and we want to get there while it's still light." Sisi called out. She didn't add the reason being that the cities inhabitants were so on edge that at night they fired instantly if they saw even a hint of movement.

Farah nodded,
"Let's hope who ever is out there is friendly," she said.
She nodded when Sisi said they should head out,
"Come on guys, no sense in hanging around here," she said.
She started off in the direction of the city. She looked back at Sisi,
"Care to take the lead? I'm sure you know where you're going better than I do," she said. After all, the girl had just been there.

(Alright, so I'm not sure how long the team will be in the city, but they'll need some people to interact with when they get there. I've put a temporary character form up on the first page for citizens and city guards. Make as many as you want, just keep in mind that they will probably be scraped once the team leaves. :3 (unless of course you just get really attached to them and want them to come with the team on their exploits. XD)

Niko walked along side the others. He was a bit disappointed about not adding to his kill count but at least they wouldn't have to deal with any of the problems that came along side with fighting an angry pack of Words. "I wonder who got to those Words," Niko spoke. It certainly was impressive. Words were tough even if diminished in numbers and strength. It wasn't likely that they, assuming it was more than one person, had the biological enhancements the team had. "Normal" people didn't last to long against the mutant animals commonly seen nowadays, they obviously must have known what they were doing.

Sisi winked at Farah and said with a dramatic flourish "The great honor of the task, it is almost to much for me." Lengthining her stride she positioned herself at the front. Her pace was brisk but not so fast that it would be hard to maintain. For the most part she stuck to paths that had been naturally carved through the forest. Though occasionally she would have to do a bit of bush-whacking so as to keep them on coarse. This however became less and less of a problem as the trees slowly thinned out, leaving them first among a patch of bushes, then small shrubs, till everything dropped off and they were surrounded by nothing but the grey green grass.

The plains were a vast exspance of open ground with little to be seen for miles. It was known for being a target of larger birds, for out here their was nowhere to hide. However even out here there was life as demonstrated by the occasional groundhog hole that dotted the bleak landscape. And if you strained your eyes looking west then you could just see the tops of old skyscrapers the larger ones with their tops blown off looked like they were stabbing the sky.
