Spike trotted happily through the forest, with Orchid close behind. Her ears pricked up and she motioned for him to stop.
"I hear somebody," she whispered. She squatted down low to the ground and whimpered softly. Her black eyes looked up trustingly into his. She expected him to come up with a plan-that's what he always did.
Spike thought for moment. "Let's run!" He started running, causing a lot of comotion as branches snapped and dead leaves crackled under foot. Orchid dashed after him. They didn't even theden they passed as they darted though the forest.
