Flickerheart suddenly stopped and said to Hawksky "Get back in the medicine cat den. Now." She advanced on Shadow, and said "What are you doing on Dawnclan territory?" And she prowled around him, keeping him in her sight thought.

"No way," Hawksky snarled, circling the cat around the other side.

"I'm Shadow." Shadow mewed. "I wish to join your Clan."

Flickerheart looked at the cat, then back at Hawksky. "All right. But if it get's worse, don't say I didn't warn you." There was genueine worry in her voice. "And, cat, loner, whatever your name is, you can't just automatically join when you say you want to join. YOu'll have to see the leader." She was very careful not to say any names.

"Of course." Shadow said, dipping his head. "Can I see him now, or should I wait?"

"She," Hawksky corrected. "Follow me." He flicked hhis tail and walked on the other side of the cat.

Shadow followed slowly.

"Let's get this over with..." Flickerheart sighed under her breath.

Hawksky half shrugged and looked grim. This cat didn't smell familiar. He wanted to know what Sandstar would think.

Sandstar walked around the camp, inspecting the walls.
