Jansen - "Oh... Yeah..." I mumble unsure of what to say next. "I haven't lived here as long as that... My family moved here about a month before the sorting day. I don't remember my mom much. She dissapeared on sorting day. I think she might have died that day." I begin to tell her, most of it the truth. "We moved here because it was supposed to be a better place, a place of opportunity." That part is all true. I look into her eyes, knowing that my story is both believable and true.
My family actually did move here a month before sorting day. Father was setting up for sorting day. My mom actually did 'disappear' on sorting day. She didnt like what Father was doing this time, how inhumane it was to the innocent people, how so many would die. She left because she didn't like Fathers plan. She lef tus and never came back.
Anthony - "Thats not what I have heard. I have heard that they accept all of the people. And that they meet somewhere that connects to all of the factions." I whisper quietly. I look at her again. "I think you definitely would be both strong enough and smart enough to be one of them. Maybe we could work together to join the rebels..." I suggest sitting on the dusty ground, drawing intricate patterns in the dust and writing out letters.
Dear bullies, See that boy doing his homework in homeroom?
Last night he convinced his friend out if suicide.
See that girl you just called fat? She is starving herself.
See that old man you made fun of cause of the ugly scars?
He fought for our country.
See that young boy you just made fun of for always being sick?
He has to walk home in the snow cause his family is too poor.
Remember that boy you pushed down the steps yesterday,
well he committed suicide last night.
Is it worth it to bully people?

► Carter LeAnn Young | Sixteen | Mood: Alone in Life| Crushless | Talking to Jansen ◄
Carter looked up at him, "I'm sorry about your mother." She said softly. She sighed, "It hasn't been a place of opportunity since The Powers came along. They destroyed so much." She looked back down as she walked, "A month or so back when The Powers first came along, they killed my family. I had a mother, father, and a brother that was a month old. I got separated from my family during the bombing. I was so scared that all I remember was the smoke of a bomb dropping and they were gone." She told him softly. "I ever saw a Power. I would look them in the face and ask how could they destroy my family and the thousands of others in the city. How could they have the heart to know what they did to us. When we didn't do anything to them." She managed to say the last few sentences with a stronger voice than her explaining about her family.

Jansen - "I am sorry about your family." I say softly. "Everything here used to be so beautiful... Some things still are though..." I say, looking deep into her sappire blue eyes and smiling. "Why does everything beautiful stay only for a short ammount of time. Like as we age, we grow less beautiful, as plands get old, they become gray and ugly, as buildings get old they crumble...." I ponder, wanting her opinion on things. I start walking out of the forest and towards a random building, not really knowing which way to go.
Anthony - I laugh at her comments and then pat the ground next to me and write her name on the dusty spot. "Come on... sit down with me, the dust isn't that bad, when you graw on it and when you use it to make other things it can become beautiful, like us." I point out.

Carter smiled at him, when he commented. He stared at her, and thought something was wrong. So she looked down at her feet as she walked. She listened to him, "Well, I think beauty is in age itself. Everyone thinks it goes away, but it's always there. It's in the inside that really counts. A lot of people think it is just about looks. Sure, a lot of people can look good on the outside, but it's hard to find beauty in the inside as well." She told him. She looked up as the path ended. She looked around then at him, "So do you want me to show you to your house first?"

Jansen - I consider Carters thoughts on the topic and I found them both astounding and different. Although, Carter already seemed to be different... I pull myself back to reality and I look at all of the buildings. I can't tell one from the other so i nod and say "That would be great. Then maybe you could give me a tour of the rest of the stuff too, so i know where to go." I kick the dust with my shoes and I wait for her to reply and to lead me, becasue i am as clueless as a child.
Anthony - I playfuly blow a littly bit of dust at Azlyn and look at her beautifully written name. "I like how you name is spelled... It is unique and beautiful..." I compliment her, "just like you are."

Carter nodded, "Okay then." She motioned for him to follow her. She lead him through a few small towns in the Beautiful Section. She looked around a few little girls playing around with their dolls and boys playing tag. Their mother was sitting there, washing clothes. This was the more poor section of the town. It wasn't until the powers came. Then they got to the nicer area, and brought him to a one bedroom, one bathroom, a small kitchen, and a medium size living room house. She opened the door for him, "Here you go." She smiled at him.

((actually i was thinking that they would live in dorms and would be assigned them by the powers.. would that be okay? they would all share like a large mess hall for eating, there would be one or two kitchens per mess hall and there would be three or four mess halls per faction, two shared bathrooms on every other floor, one for guys one for girls (with showers in them). the only living space would be the first floor common room and their bedrooms))
