I've been hunting ... I can't even remember how long but it's been a LONG time now. Everything from squirrel to deer. Recently I had the privileged to go wolf hunting in Idaho with my friends dad. My opinion is that places like Idaho and even Montana are doing exactly the right thing. They give a quota of about 25% of the state's wolf population that can be culled during the year. The numbers are managed and you can't just go out willy-nilly shooting at every wolf you see.

In the end of things the way they do it works because the spring pups will fill the spots that the ones that were "harvested" so to say during the season. If properly managed in such ways it keeps the wolf population at a constant number as opposed to there being far to many wolves and not enough prey. When correctly regulated it's a good thing.

At the end of the day the thing that makes me loose respect for people is that everyone is all "OMG NOT THE WOLVES!1111!!!!!!!!1!" I've seen way to many topics on multiple websites that are against wolf hunting yet I've never seen one that is against hunting coyotes. Whats the difference? There is none. If an animals population is abundant enough then yes, their population should be managed or it will start to affect all the other animal populations.

as I said this is a club for people who want to save wolves not a debate thread. What your doing is debating. So please get off this thread and go to the one titled 'The Wolf Debate Thread'. (totally mini moding)

But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium"

Well I wouldn't have known that seeing as how the last few posts have been filled with threats of skinning people and comparing that to skinning wolves and making hunters out to be this terrible thing.

Hence forth starting a debate before I even posted.
& since everyone is mini-modding; Don't double post and don't bump topics that aren't off the first page.

Yeah you totally have to be rude. This thread is not usually filled with wolfabaloos talking about killing hunters. I realized I said wolves have families too but it is true they do have families. Did I ever say I wanted to skin hunters? I simply believe all lives are equal. I have the right to my opinion and you have no right to be rude to me about. As I said before I suggest you go to a thread that is meant for debating.

I already apologized as I was linked to this thread by another user because they said "look at all the people taking about skinning hunter and that they should be shot"

I never directed ANYTHING at you so I fail to see how I am being rude to you.

I was suggesting that you go on a different thread simply because I care about wolves and think this thread is making a difference and it would be horrible if it got shut down. You weren't being rude directly at me but you were still being rude. Also we were not debating before you posted we were discussing. Now as I stated before if you want to debate please go on a debate thread.

Okay, guys. ^^

I'm okay with debating as long as people don't start getting out of hand. We're all entitled to our opinions, and that's fine, but remember to be kind as well. Thanks. ^^

I don't want to start further fights here, but can I say something?
I respect everyone's opinions-people can love wolves, and dislike hunting. That's fine.
But when someone aims things at the hunters themselves, that is just totally innapropriate, ignorant, rude, and offensive.
I am a hunter myself, and just because we have different life styles than people does NOT mean we are free to be bashed and 'hunted ourselves'.
It just irks me so much when people say they support human hunting. OK. Really, that is just totally selfish. So, you would kill someone over an animal that you have never even got to meet in your life?!
What if you met a hunter, that was totally nice. Or your best friend was a hunter. Would you murder them over a damned wolf that would have killed you if you ever saw it?
No, I think not. People need to think about everyone, not only themselves before speaking.

Yes, wolves have families.
They have emotion.
But their memory doesn't last forever, and they aren't very sentiment unlike us.
They forget the dead quickly, and die themselves quickly, which contributes to it.
Animals get over depressions fast and don't care much about it in the future.
They care about surviving, and reproducing.
That's it.
