And as for on-topic, I just can't seem to find good muse lately; but for some reason I'm starting to have a lot of ideas on fanfiction; but as I've found out, people don't really like fanfiction... Dx
Still, it's good practice for actual writing; it just takes the character development aspect out of everything, which is not one of my strengths, so I guess I write better fanfiction than stories? xD

There is nothing wrong with fan-fiction. One of my longer stories started out as a fan-fiction, and then magically took on a life of its own! There's hardly
any resemblance to the original works now

! The advice i'd like to give to you is - Don't worry what other people think, and don't worry about the audience. Write what you want to write, because you love to write it. If it's good enough - people will read it, no matter what the target audience is! (Look at Harry Potter -
everyone old and young has read it, though its "target" audience is meant to be kids (for the first few books anyway))
It's very hard to keep a fan-fiction character canon, i've seen some horrendous fan-fic's that ... just.. *shudder* i feel bad for the poor characters!! There's nothing wrong with taking a character as the base of your character and then modifying him to suit your needs. There's also nothing wrong with taking a world that's already been created and using it for your own benefit! Most of my characters are based (loosely) on people i know in person

And some of their more.. defining characteristics have kept with the characters as they develop. The only way you'll be able to develop a good, rounded character is by writing about them

Or re-fill it out (Even if its edited somewhat) Because otherwise you won't have info like if they wanted writing partners or their goals or what kind of books they like to write about. If its just,
"I was a member."
It would be like... well if we didn't have forms at all and people just posted
"Hi. I'm joining." And thats all the information you got out of their post.
I don't know, maybe I'm over-thinking things again XD But I really like the Writing Partner page and the list of peoples names and goals; it was interesting to read and gave you insight on your fellow member's ambitions. ^.^
Yeah - to be honest, I don't see a problem with re-filling out the old form.. well.. perhaps a slightly modified version of the old form (mainly getting rid of the "role" part XC i don't think anyone understood that... ever.. XD) The form doesn't take long to fill out, and it's not really difficult. Anyone that actually enjoys being a part of this thread shouldn't mind either i don't think? And I also liked the idea of the goals and writing partners (especially if people wanted to find a partner)

Thank you C: (BTW, what do computer games have to do with speaking English? You're english, right?)
No, I didn't really mean the lenses to play golf in her eyes... Really want to do that? That would be awesome! You don't have to, if you don't want to, right? I don't want to force you... Or something C:
I was talking mainly of games like World of Warcraft and Runescape (where you talk to other real people.. MMORPG-type things) There are a lot of people from the netherlands on there!! And they all speak amazing english, it amazes me! And I'm english/american.. English-chick living in California :3 go figure!
I'd love to do that!! I just did a critique for Chef Kitty and i'm feeling like i wanna do more!! RAWR! And if it would help with your english and everything that would be a bonus, right?

Just PM me what you want me to critique, and i'll begin working on it!!
