How old are you? (this question is optional):
You've been a member for how long: A year and one month, give or take a few days
How much time do you spend on CS in the average day/week?: Way to long :p, really, per day I'd say at least five hours, per week, I can't even count. (I've neither friends nor a life)
Do you feel you know CS well enough to answer all the common questions?: Of coarse, with a years experience I know CS like the back of my hand.
Do you have the patience to deal with stupid questions being asked over and over?: Yes. I have two younger sisters and have worked a lot with younger people who constantly need help.
Why do you want to be a newbie-helper?: There are so many people on CS who need help with things, and they don't get the help that they need. This leads to things such as them being flames and or yelled at. That's not nice at all, and I'd like to prevent that. Plus, I like to help people, and with having no life that means I have plenty of time to do it in.
Have you ever had moderating experience on any forums if so please post a link: Not yet, but I should be obtaining moderator status on a site here soon.
Do you have any suggestions for the team name (instead of 'Newbie-Helper') xD ?: Not really, I'm bad with names.

Awesome idea, Tess!

How old are you? (this question is optional): 16
You've been a member for how long: Since Sept 09, almost 6 months
How much time do you spend on CS in the average day/week?: Usually once a day, varying from a few minutes to a couple hours
Do you feel you know CS well enough to answer all the common questions?: Yes. I spent a lot of time watching the forums and checking rules before I even started posting. XD
Do you have the patience to deal with stupid questions being asked over and over?: Definitely. Lot of practice with being patient at school when I help people there and at home with my younger sibling.
Why do you want to be a newbie-helper?: Mainly because I like helping people and answering questions.
When I see people get flamed or quit the site because people got mad at them for asking a question, it really bugs me and I'd love to help those people out. Just helping even a bit makes me feel good.
It would be nice to give back to this site and help it be a better place even if it was only in a really small way.
Have you ever had moderating experience on any forums if so please post a link: Not much on forums, but I've owned a few sites and had to deal with a variety of people. I've also co-owned and just been an admin. The sites were all closed/deleted, however so I don't think I have any links.
Do you have any suggestions for the team name (instead of 'Newbie-Helper') xD ?: Not one that hasn't already been suggested.

How old are you? (this question is optional): 16
You've been a member for how long: Since October 13th of 08
How much time do you spend on CS in the average day/week?: I'm at least on twice a day, browsing the forums mostly.
Do you feel you know CS well enough to answer all the common questions?: I believe that I do. If I do not know something I have enough determination to find the answer. As I have sense to direct questions that I cannot figure out to another helper(though I don't think it will be necessary).
Do you have the patience to deal with stupid questions being asked over and over?: Lets just say with four sisters you must have some sort of patience or become a nervous wreck. So yes, I think I do.
Why do you want to be a newbie-helper?: I would like to be a newbie helper because I like to be helpful. Yeah, lame. But I do, it makes me feel good when someone says 'Thanks!' and even if they don't, I like the fact that I could help out. Like when I send random wishlist pets to people, and I get big 'Thanks you's'. It's a bit of a selfish reason, but it's a thing I like to do. What better way to make it official? I have a page on my website devoted to CS advice as well(here). I've spent a bit of time perfecting it and adding to it. A lot of the advice is from other members, from a thread I did a while back. ^^'

There are some other inactive ones and a private site, so I won't bother with them. Eheh...
Do you have any suggestions for the team name (instead of 'Newbie-Helper') xD ?: What about the Trusted Troop?? XD Like colleenbrd mentioned the Trusted Helpers. XD

Good luck to all. ^_^

How old are you? (this question is optional):
You've been a member for how long: Since Nov. 3rd 09, But i've been adopting pets and looking around the forums since Jan. 09
How much time do you spend on CS in the average day/week?: About 2/3 hours a day except on the weekends, when it's more like 1 hour
Do you feel you know CS well enough to answer all the common questions?: Yup. :)
Do you have the patience to deal with stupid questions being asked over and over?: Yeah.
Why do you want to be a newbie-helper?: Because I want to help people enjoy the site, and they can't do that if they're confused.

Do you have any suggestions for the team name (instead of 'Newbie-Helper') xD ?: Uh.. The Anti-Confusion Team? xD maybe that's worse than Newbie-Helper.

How old are you? (this question is optional): 12
You've been a member for how long: 3 1/2 months (Since October 18th '09)
How much time do you spend on CS in the average day/week?: About 10 hours a day :D Apart from Sundays...
Do you feel you know CS well enough to answer all the common questions?: Yes, even though I haven't been here for long, I know my way around CS quite/very well.
Do you have the patience to deal with stupid questions being asked over and over?: Yes, I am very patient, and even now I try to help newbies know their way around.
Why do you want to be a newbie-helper?: Because I want to help newbies, and am currently trying to help them when I can... One reason I want to help is because I know what it was like when I was new, and I seriously wouldn't want to be 'new' again, so I would love to help newbies feel like they fit in, and such.
Have you ever had moderating experience on any forums if so please post a link: No.
Do you have any suggestions for the team name (instead of 'Newbie-Helper') xD ?: The CS Guiders/Helpers

I would honestly love to help, because helping others is something I enjoy...

How old are you? (this question is optional):
14
You've been a member for how long:
1 year 3 days
How much time do you spend on CS in the average day/week?:
Probably around 45-50 hours a week
Do you feel you know CS well enough to answer all the common questions?:
Oh yes! That would be the easiest part, and if they wanted to know EVERYTHING I could just give them a link to the Commonly Asked Questions thread or the Guide Index.
Do you have the patience to deal with stupid questions being asked over and over?:
Sure, I've been asked plenty of odd questions from non-newbies!
Why do you want to be a newbie-helper?:
Well, there's a couple of reasons. One would be that I feel like I owe something to this site. You all have helped so many people by giving them a place to just relax and have fun when life gets hard, and it's easy to take that sort of thing for granted.
The other reason is because I think I'd be good at it. Back at The Zoo and The Guide I've seen plenty of people hating on newbies who don't know any better. I know it can be prevented, if someone would just tell the newbies the rules and be a friend to them. When I joined I made friends because I have decent typing skills, a lot of "annoying" newbies are just people who aren't as good at typing and maybe got a little confused. If someone took the time to tell them the rules and be nice to them they'd get it a lot faster and spare the rest of us having to watch them get flamed.
Oh and I almost forgot! The last reason is that, as I mentioned earlier, a lot of newbies have seen the Zoo and pm'd me asking about it. Usually they end up telling me about how they feel rejected, ect. so I try to help them feel needed. As time has gone on, I've gotten to the point where I almost feel responsible for them, in a good way. If they've got someone to consult and get friendly advice from, I'm hoping that they'll find CS a more enjoyable site. This place is great for social networking, but if people use it the wrong way it can get stressful. Making sure the new people know the rules, that they can make friends here, ect is in my opinion a good way to help them feel better about themselves as a whole. (it's worked for before!)
Have you ever had moderating experience on any forums if so please post a link: Yes as a matter of fact, I'm a moderator on Shima's website: http://adoptsomecreativity.skazzy.org/index.php
Do you have any suggestions for the team name (instead of 'Newbie-Helper') xD ?:
A team name? Oh that's gold! XD Newbie Helpers is fine in my opinion, but it we've got to come up with some other suggestions... I'll have to edit later if I think of any!
Edit: Oh, I like abbreviations, so maybe something like NHS (Newbie-Help-System/Staff/Society/Something else starting with S)

This is a great idea! I'm not going to bother applying, because I don't have a scrap of patience and probably wouldn't have the time, either.
