Usually a more broad collection is better when it comes to research. Many small books are better than one thick. Why? You see more ideas, more analyzing, and the small details each throw in can paint another picture entirely. Rather than one solid book, and one author's perspective.

Chinese New Year today ^_^ Apart from Wicca, I do follow several parts of different things (as that's what makes me, me), and Chinese/Oriental beliefs fascinate me, so today has been fun for me. I may have not been able to celebrate it like they do in China, and it isn't really part of Wicca, but I still decided to do a few special things at home today.

The best book I read was The Teen Spell Book by Jamie Wood. It helped a lot. I have not had any ceremonies yet but have started by Book Of Shadows. I have chapters at first for; Holidays, Simple words (this element that element), and Runes. Thought I should say it...
I'm Quitting CS, my bff will continue all my characters, you wont notice much because she's been RPing for me a lot. I will let her log on to this account because if she doesn't than Dewclan, my warrior cat RP, will have a VERY outdated list. Her Username will be Willowkit17, like mine was. GoodBye CS, My pets are up for grabs

So, I have a topic for you guys to consider. Do you believe the saying in the Rede "Harm none" applies to the consumption of meat and dairy products? I just read something a non-Wiccan person wrote accusing Wiccans who do consume meat and dairy of blatantly disregarding yet claiming to follow the Rede because of the way the animals used in these industries are treating.
Personally, I think that there is nothing wrong with consuming meat and dairy. It is awful how some of those animals are treated, but I don't think you should be counted as being against the Rede if you eat a hamburger or put milk in your cereal.

What do you guys think?

When I think of that law in the faith, I think of the basic idea of
yourself not causing harm to another, the actions of others that ultimately reach you do not count. It's what you do yourself, consuming meat and dairy is hardly harming another
yourself.
Another reason I had to leave the faith-- I'm a fighter, a warrior. I have my instincts from what I was born under. I'm a figher-- I cause harm, and I know it.

I could be wrong here but, wait untill he calms down and try to tell him what it is really about and that you don't worship the Devil. If he still ack that way...give hm a book on Wiccanism and tell him to learn what it is himself. But I could be wrong about how to go about this....that is what I would do though.
